What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I have a request to you all:

Please, use software and scale down your pics to maximum 1024x768 pixel before posting!

The actual loading process of all your fullsize pics on opening the thread is so totally nerving.

It’s never been an issue for me (us). Maybe it’s just you? I don’t mind the request, but you’re over estimating my tech skills if you think I can change the pixel count. It’s all magic to me.

Thanks Joe. The ice melted off and I got out, but I did keep the speed down.

Super hat, Ken. And great combo with the shirt.

Yowza, yowza.

Very nice, Brent. Lot of old school flavor in that one.

Thank you, Michael.

I stopped using Tapatalk due to the fact that I don't want to pay for what was a great free ad supported service. I finally decided to try again to post from the site, with much better results than in times past. I agree Tapatalk is easier and faster, but I'm cheap.
I have had issues with the pics posting sideways, but for some reason cropping them slightly seems to make them pist right. I also went to a lower resolution for a smaller file size, don't know if that made any difference.
I much prefer Tapatalk for the ease of navigation when on my phone. I’m rarely in front of a computer other than at work where I can’t access The Lounge. I paid for the premium Tapatalk app, but now it’s of no use. Viewing the site via a browser on a phone isn’t much fun. I hope the administrators can get the problems worked out.
I don't use Tapatalk, but I see that many lounge members do. If only for their convenience I hope this gets sorted out. I've had the sideways picture issue as well, but, like John, I slightly adjust my pictures and then they post in the right orientation. The only thing I cannot do from my computer is add pictures to PM posts (which is odd).

I've been using an app called Lit Photo, which allows compressing and cropping.

Sorry but I only do singing requests.

A double double hat day today. My wife & I both changed hats for the evening.
Me, a Christy’s. My wife, a Dalena - an Italian brand that none of us blokes would know...looks good on her, though.

The only thing I cannot do from my computer is add pictures to PM posts (which is odd).
If you create an album and upload pics to it you can then share the media with others within a PM, but you also have to assign who to share your pictures with before doing so. I think the default setting is private, but you can share with specific members or make them public for everyone to see. It's quite an inconvenient and roundabout setup and I loathe having to do it just to send a picture privately to someone.

So do I start calling Bob Pappy?

I'm OK with that, but I can barely afford my own (grown) kids. :D

I use this on the iPhone. Easy...

Looks better on you, Bob!

Thanks Stefan. Good thing my shadow is not on this site. He's always been jealous ... following me around like a stalker at times.

Yesterday I wore a cousin to the VS thin ribbon I wore early this week.

This VS has a contrasting ribbon treatment. Yesterday was a moment when I thought the gray skies required some bigger contrast. Dove beaver felt is a fav.

Thin ribbon hat theme continues this morning. I was sport'n a vintage Stetson Stratoliner. This hat can be worn downtown and country.

A chilly but sunny Saturday . Pup pup and I are heading out into the yard for some basic puppy training for her new little brother. The VS triple stitched black cherry is today's choice.

VS black cherry is a gorgeous fedora.

That Strat is a gem of a hat Eric, Esther made me a hat of similar ilk, it was the colour that I was after, it had to match the suit that I was wearing to an Hawaiian themed wedding. What a great job she made of it too. Ruby seems to approve.

Lovely hat. Your mid ribbon is a great choice for your purposes. I think Esther makes some very cool mens hats. I hope we get to see yours and others Esther hat creations more frequently. The thin ribbons, like the Stratoliner, add a casual to a hat that makes it really easy to wear. The mid ribbons, like Stetson advertisements would say frequently allow the hat to go downtown. I find they can run errands, go to meetings, work or trips very easily. The other ribbons I find can stand tall when paired with a suit/sport coat or the like.

enjoy the day folks. Eric -

VS Sportaire.

I recall this being a popular model of Art’s when I first started coming here.

Looking good David!
Here is a recent picture of me wearing my Sportaire.

Both of your VS Sportaire's were very influential in my early hat journey. I still have saved pics in a file on my computer of these hats. Glad to see you still enjoying adventures in them. A shout out to all the Sportaire's out in The Fedora Lounge world this morning!
