I didn't even realise that. Thanks, Tim.

Very nice, Charlie. Nice proportions and a great crease on that one.

Thank you kindly, Stefan!
Your line up of lids this week (thin, medium, and wide ribbons) was as dreamy as I’ve seen. Big boy hats, topped off by that beautiful Borsa Misto!!!

Took a trip down the road to Osaka this weekend. Wearing a hat by the Japanese brand Country. It’s the first hat I bought from a hat maker rather than an apparel maker - I guess you could say it’s the hat that set me on the road to the Fedora Lounge. When I bought it, I thought this was as good as hats get. Clearly it’s not, but I still love this hat.

My wife thinks I’m a little odd when I wear it with a bathrobe, though!

Please tell your wife you have arrived!
From a summer or two ago, an annual "sipping coffee by the pond in my bathrobe" picture. VS porkpie in granite...

Here’s my Stetson Homburg-fedora conversion . Finished it yesterday. I liked it as a homburg, but I amassed three black homburgs recently (two Borsalinos) that looked exactly alike. One of them had to change. The Stetson was the better candidate.
I removed and reused the brim binding so it wouldn’t pucker underneath in the conversion process.
Hand sewing small stitches ain’t fun, but it turned out nice. Where the binding only covered an 1/8 “ on top and over a 1/2 on bottom, now it covers a 1/4” on both sides. I love how it turned out! It may now even compete in my top five picks.
Very nice job, Randall. It's looking midnight blue in the photos.

I love your style, Michael!
And your lovely hats...
Thanks Dan.

With three, you can form a club (if you can find @GDDurand).

Yeah, I tried to get in the shade so I wouldn’t have direct light on it , but it did end up looking blue in one of the pics, anyway. Had it been blue, believe me, I wouldn’t have went through all the trouble to de-homburg the Stetson. I’m actually trying to find a blue homburg and accidentally let really nice one slip by me on eBay yesterday!
Got distracted during the last few hours of the auction. Grrrr!
Saddest thing is, it’s not the first time that has happened.
