For some reason unknown from this time and distance when I was a small child my mother used a 1 gallon glass vinegar jug for lawn mower gas. My father bought her a proper metal gas can and the glass jug disappeared but according to her it just didn't work as handily as the glass jug. And she always called me stubborn.
I guess apples really don't fall far from their trees.
