Echter Borsalino "Bismuto" "Sanboca" date stamped May 17, 1929. The Berlin store Max Eckard that sold the hat did not survive WWII. This hat is in mint condition and one of three Echter Borsalinos from my April 2015 find.
The carton the hat was in is from a Berlin hat store Philipp Neubauer Berlin that survived WWII but not the locations listed.
Cork spacers that were in the hats. I failed to note which hats they were associated with.

Yeah, those in-between stages can be a little awkward. Same on the head, I’m letting my hair grow long, and going through that phase now. I always said when I retired I was going to grow it long like I wore it in the 70’s, but I decided to do it now while I still have it. Seems the office is loosening up on appearance nowadays anyway, so nobody seems to care.....
