I picked up a Taylor Stitch Winslow that is made our of wool beach cloth, and is blanket lined -- I really like this jacket.

Must be goat. No other hide passes the test of time as well and that jacket is probably late 40s, early 50s based on design.

Yeah, you're right, JJ, even the faint creases suggest so. I guess in another 100 years, it might start fading at the edges. XD Beautiful jacket, even nicer hide.

It's a Great hide. @torfjord has a similar one. This one had been worn a lot though the. Years. Faded to Brown in high wear areas.
I really enjoy mine, but yours is outstanding. Definitely goat. Mine has also some color fade, mostly on the sleeves. Unfortunately the zipper gets stuck about halfway up, and the stitch holes are so small and tight I don’t think there’s a tailor in the world that can install a new zipper using the original stitch holes.
