Wow, every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man!

View attachment 215411 Stylin’ on a beautiful day in a 40s Stylepark Templeform with my new/old Sunday go to meetins’.
Best togs I’ve ever owned and spent less than anyone might spend on a meal for two at Appleby’s.
Who knew eBay was the place to go for a fine, fitted suit?

Excellent in every way, Michael.

Great looking Knox, Héctor.
Thanks Stefan. The overcoats haven't been getting much play this winter.

Nice shape on that one, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. I like the flattish flange on the San Antonio. Oddly, it's tough to get it to hold the way I like when it's brim up. Seems like it should be a good one.

Last few days.
Wormser

Homemade Hückel Fez (I'm making a new one, so wore this to assess possibilities for improvement)

Great bunch of hats, Stefan. Love that binding play on the Wormser and the ribbon on the Portis, especially.

Always a great hat Michael but tell us about that jacket. Very cool, love to see the back.
B
Thanks Bowen. The jacket is a Kabom Swedish army tunic made in 1942, or patterned then, or something then.

My understanding is that these were modified in the early 50s to add the two back pockets. Apparently lots of pockets were the rage then. That might have been about the time they switched from regular pants to cargo pants, too. Last I looked you can still get these at surplus stores or on ebay for under $20. That could have changed by now, but I checked last year and that is what they could be found for. Great piece of wool that that money.

Neat looking ribbon Michael
Thanks Joe. This one does fall into the unusual ribbon category. I think I have a Mallory of about the same dimensions, and probably the same age, that has a fancy ribbon too.

Thanks all,
Michael

Very nice, Joe, congrats!

I've never been in an occupation that had a hall of fame!

Yesterday was a two hat day.. Traveled to Jacksonville, Florida in the Adam Mainliner to meet some old wrestling friends at the WWW Champ7 Hall of Fame Dinner. Will explain more with hat Number two.

Part two of this two hat day...

Wide World of Wrestling Champ7 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

So this part could use some explaining...

Back in the 1990’s I wrestled professionally as ‘The Legacy’ Blare Rogers. Grandson of Nature Boy Buddy Rogers... Buddy was the very first WWE champion (then WWWF) in the early 60’s. One company I worked for in Florida and around the Caribbean was Wide World of Wrestling (now Champ7). They called me a few weeks back and let me know they wanted to induct me into the 2020 class of their Hall of Fame. What an honor it was to be inducted into a group of talent I consider serious legends in that business. It was very cool to be remembered for work we did a quarter century ago already. AND it was definitely an occasion to break out the Lord Kent Beaver 15 Homburg. What a very cool night it was!

And this was me back when I worked for Wide World of Wrestling holding their Bahamas championship for a year or so.

Wow that’s pretty crazy.
Anybody pick a fight with you? You know just for old times. Maybe that old boy in the Western??
Ahh the good old days!
