If you can’t beat it; Whippet!
Nice lid , Rumad.
Maybe I’ll find a Whippet Whon day.
Do they really have the Guard posted around your city?
Found mine in a thrift store in Florida for about 30 bucks a bunch of years back. My size even. Very lucky. The Guard is not ‘posted’ around the city but they have taken over Glen Island, a public park, to set up a testing facility. Cannot go there anymore. Bummer. Although, I’m not sure how long we’ll be able to come to practice anyway. Seems like #canceleverything has taken a good hold.
a $30 buck Whippet! No kiddin’.
Can’t beat that.
Although....
I shouldn’t even mention this because it’s hardly believable, but just before you answered my post about your Whippet, I was checking eBay and found a BIN on a Whippet clone from Stephen Stetson hat co. !!!!
Crazy, huh?!
Don’t know its size yet, but I bought it anyway. At $30 bucks, including shipping, I wasn’t about to wait around for answers to a size inquiry!
Who knows, maybe it’ll be my size and I’ll have a cool story to tell much like your very cool Whippet tale!
When it gets here I’ll share how it went either way.
I’ve got to get back to check eBay again. Maybe Lightning will strike twice...

Light gray 1950’s Penney’s Marathon, decorated with plenty of moth bites.

My hat and facial expression of yesterday express how I felt after all schools and public institutions were closed for at least the next 2 weeks due to the hateful, but beautifully named corona virus.
It's a very nice Borsalino Qualitá Superiore in the ubiquitous bismuto colour. My grey attire matched the day as well as the weather.
The wonderful blue sky and sunshine of today brought a bit of a smile to my face. My Mayser Spezial from 1950 was the chosen hat of the day.
Behind me you can see Sweden. My town is usually full of Swedes at the weekend. They come to shop, dine, and have fun. As of noon today, Danish borders were closed, so no Swedes to be seen.

On the bright side, I guess I'll have more time to catch up on all you wonderful folks posts on the FL

Love that Mayser Spezial!
Your facial expression kinda ruined the Borsalino for me.
:)
Stay safe, friend!

Thanks, Randall.

The Mayser Spezial is real nice as is the Borsa. Sorry for spoiling it. I'll make sure to take a photo another time in more happier circumstances :)

I'm sitting here at my computer with a glass of wine, listening to my favourite jazz radio, and just planning on going through all the FL posts I've missed. Looking forward to seeing your Penney's Marathon, my friend.
