Apologies for another post. I wanted to add this to my last post but uploading pics to my host has been taking "forever." I wonder why? Duh!;) Is everyone on the internet at the same time?:mad: My relatives in Finland laugh at how slow the internet speed is here in the Twin Cities, MN, USA.

On with the show: I have been working some parsnips and cabbage on the outside grill. I am wearing a vintage Stetson Royal De Luxe Open Road. I do need to make time to wear this gray thin ribbon much more.

I am over being troubled by internet. The soup smells terrific. Dinner time!

Thank you my good friend in Georgia, so kind of you. I am indeed truly grateful that we made the deal on these 4 wonderful hats.

I'd so love to visit those exotic parts that you mention.

Stay safe and well, Randall.

How did I ever miss this post yesterday?!!
Wow! Looks great on you!
It’s crazy to think about how through the miracle of the internet and a postal service that those lucky hats were once bogged down in the South American swamp of the Okeefenokee are now liberated to the distant shores of Denmark.
And couldn’t imagine it possible that those felted crowns could ever come to rest on a better man’s head.
The Corolla bow looks smashing on one well dressed Dane!

That is just one wonderful Homburg, Eric! A great Stetson Strat, too.

Stay well in the great outdoors sans people. Seems like the best place to be right now.

Early morning I wore my favorite homburg. This early 50's Cavanaugh is an inky blue felt with maroon trimmings. Stunning in person. No person saw me wearing this hat live and in person. It was the perfect hat for a dog soiree. My dog, Tio (Horatio), to the best of my knowledge, did not have an opinion on the hat at all.

Back home, picking up fallen limbs and generally prepping for some chainsaw work this afternoon I was wearing an unlined Stetson Playboy. This 30-40's hat is unique in that instead of the "usual" Playboy ribbon it has a ribbon like a Royal DeLuxe Stratoliner.I have checked that the ribbon is original. The leather sweat is original. Just a unlined version that hybrids features.

Hope you get well soon, Greg.

Thanks, Jim there hasn’t really been much to talk about. Many struggling and suffering far worse than I am. I seem to be on the downhill side of whatever it is. The struggle has been keeping the girls free and clear and me not going stir crazy sitting here in the cave. You take care of you and yours.

I’m wearing a black Bailey Pork Pie. The reason you can’t see it is because my wife, after years of talking photos, decided today would be the day she forgot how to use a camera. Ten, fifteen times she got it to focus on me, but not once did she take a picture!

She’s wearing her fur felt Maxim.

I’ll get a picture of mine when I can.

This one arrived a couple weeks back. This is the buck and a quarter Stetson. Not $125.. one dollar and twenty five cents was the end of auction price. It has definitely seen some wear in its life as evidenced by the sweat staining around the ribbon and wear on the sweatband. But other than that it is in very good shape

Judging by some info from the seller whose father was the original owner and some details of the hat itself. I’m gonna guess this one to be early 90’s or late 80’s. The seller thought it was much older still. Any thoughts here?

But my question really is brim up or down on this one?

Great deal and looks great brim up or down!

The hat isn’t very old given the barcode tag but who cares for that price! Congrats!

I am a very greatful and proud owner of an original Randall Randshaw drawing, and now am the proud owner of this Randall Ranshaw Adam's conversation with a highly original, eye catching Randall Renshaw bow treatment.

Very majestic indeed.

Thank you, my friend.

Exquisite!! Congrats to both, and especially @Randall Renshaw for such well-executed ribbon work! I’ve never seen one like that. Sweet!!

This not hat content, but what in the world is this unique feature. I took a sample of the ice from the ground and will thaw at home to see what is going on.

Having grown up in a town that bills itself as “The Maple Center Of The World,” I think what you see is frozen maple sap coming from a break caused during the winter.

Sap happens.
