I'm wondering if I did pick up some kind of fever though: I'm actually looking at a green hat to buy!;)

Kind of "green around the gills" huh? This parade of hats did my old soul good this morning. That finish on the Wormser is of note. Great to see you my friend. You are already more healthy than me, you should be fine.

Good to see you looking well, Mike. Please stay so my friend, and stay at home as much as you can.
I have been out and about in my hats. The stores are a wasteland, but I look good while shopping at least.

That's a beauty of an old Borsalino. I have one of a similar vintage. The lightest felt ive ever encountered. Thin as tissue paper....which I wish you luck finding. Be safe out there and stay well.

I got this hat from Anthony Amodeo a while back, could not pass it up. It is absolutely mint.

I wear my robe in solidarity this morning with Ole Clausen and all our friends who have been ill and recovering of late.
The sun is barely up and I am sipping coffee wearing a vintage long hair Disney fedora with a gill ribbon treatment.

Be safe, be strong and see you back on the streets soon, Eric -
That hat will get you there, Eric, on the strength of its awesomeness alone. Splendid!

Going out into the dead zone to raid Safeway for my in-laws. They are under draconian restrictions at their Bonaventure Retirement Center and only can have deliveries. So, I have donned my early 1950s Borsalino Featherweight fedora and will be their delivery boy. I need reasons to get out of the house to wear my hats. Patty is disturbed, but has not chained me to the couch yet.

Good to see you, Mike. I'd expect a hat like that to weather it all for you: magnificent! Stay safe, my friend.

Very smooth looking Resistol, Michael!

Dog soirre this morning in a Stetson Bantam.

I took a walk out again to the curious tree icicle mid morning. It is an oak tree (black oak identified by the leaves under its canopy). The crevasse in the tree, created by an almost totally lost limb is filled with decay. I see under close examination that snow can easily collect, melt and creates icicles. It is a high probability that the colored ice is a leaching of the decayed matter into the melted snow cover.

On the hat front - my walk-about was done in a Filson Mackinaw and a Gannon Wanderer (inspired by the Stetson of said name and made of silvermist felt with charcoal trimmings).

Two very fine examples, Eric. Impossible to choose between between them.

Thanks, Mike. Provided I win it, I think I'll be able to forgive myself for this green one. Wait until you see it (fingers crossed). I decided to go for some hats outside my usual comfort zone pricewise; otherwise I'd just spend it on toiletpaper:D

After being cooped up for a few, I ventured forth today to replenish the Strategic Bacon Reserve, along with other essentials, such as rum and beer.

Making it's debut a new to me Lee long hair I picked up from Randall recently. It needed some TLC, a little grooming , a bump from 7 1/8 to 7 1/4, and a new sweatband, but now it's fine as wine. Still need to reattach the wind trolley, though.

Well, my wife caught me breaking the rules. While working on our new BBQ, I was wearing a custom Semi-Colado Straw from NW Hats. I should not be wearing straw until the traditional straw hat day, May 15th. With the false spring we are having here in Oregon, I just couldn't help myself. I picked this one up from Mike Miller in October, and just put it away, so sad. Felt good to have it on. I didn't go out in public with it, so I would not be scorned by the Hat Police.

Wow, Jim. That is such an attractive shade of brown on that hat. And a longhair to boot. A winner!

Glad to see you Mike and sounds like you are well.
I can’t pass up the chance to comment on such a fine example of Borsalino. This particular example gets all the points for style and quality in my book.
This Featherweight appears to have a self edge. Always a bonus.
Thanks for sharing.

Killer!! You look great under the Long hair, Jim! I’d like to see the inside when you’re ready to show it.
Got a brown Mallory burg that I’ll do an even swap on...

Thank you, Stefan. I've been aching to wear it, but hadn't had the chance.

Thought I could start really learning how to play the ukulele with that’s going on. Unfortunately my wife was stockpiling supply’s for bathroom renovations.

How could anything go wrong, while wearing such a hat?
