That's a perfect fit; the jeans are too low, but even then I wouldn't say the fit is off. Hang 'round these parts and you get 'fit neurosis'. Pretty soon, you can't tell .15 of an inch from the Grand Canyon and you're standing in front of the mirror attempting to judge minutiae or soaking bits of your sleeves in warm water and hanging little weights off your clothing. To outsiders it will seem a slow and sad thing that goes beyond affectation and haunts the fringes of a real frustration, something that flirts with esteem and re-imagined body comedy.

Don't go there. It fits.

My new $30 bay score. 50's? Steerhide with an Adams zipper. I've never seen Adams before, it's marked made in USA.
Practically untouched condition with one caveat, the last owner must've been a smoker, and though this obviously just sat in the closet it smells like a smoking permitted hotel room. So I've begun the smell removal process with a bath and dry out and now I've rubbed in some Langlitz conditioner right before this photo. I'll leave it outside for a few weeks before my lady allows it in the house. So cool I'll post fit photos soon.

Had an experience today. This vintage piped Hercules was not supposed to fit. It’s stiff and narrow, but I put it on with a Filson wool vest, miraculously it fits perfectly. Zipped all the way up, chest is fitter but I can move my arm and reach. Aero has a direct copy of this but for some reason it was just not right, they say vintage jackets have low arm hole, but I don’t feel the restriction of movement in this original (and two other I had before).

Chopper in the morning, now this - Aero via Thurston Bros cafe racer in brown FQHH, around 6-7 yrs old, back when they called this 2-pocket design the Fontana. I’ve gotten this soaking wet while riding, which dramatically speeded up the break-in process. Have steadily gained some pounds in the past year, so the waist is a bit tight on this jacket right now. Hopefully some strict dieting and working out and this should fit well again.

Is the jacket really as heavy as they advertised? (2mm)
No, definitely not. If I compare with one of my LW, e.g. LW Easy Rider 4oz+ Navy HH it feels roughly 2/3 of the LW jacket. Construction and stitching quality is quite good but the jacket itself doesn't feel as indestructible as a typical LW 4oz HH jackets feels if you know what I mean. The wearing comfort of FCL is really good - one of may favorite leather jackets. For riding, LW for sure is way better, but I'm not a rider.

Leather is much softer than LW and doesn't feel waxy at all
