Another H. Porter hat i see.
I look forward to what you can do with it J.
I have a feeling that one might have a pretty low Lot #.
Outstanding!!
B

Thanks Bowen, First order of business will be posting details here and wearing it some. I can see the ghost of the old ribbon so I will either be ordering something vintage and giving it a gas bath or sending it out to a hatter once the world has settled down.

Hey! Look what I just BINed! I would like for y’all to Celebrate with me and also tell me something about this hat that I may not know.
I think it’s from the 30s, or early 40s at most. And it’s my opinion that it is a precursor of a so named, Hanover Square or maybe it is one and we can’t yet tell by the angle of the pics.
It certainly has all the great aspects of a Hanover. And even if it’s not, I can’t much care! It’s a great get!!
Two great OLD vintage Dobbs in a single week!! This man is on fire!

Yikes!! Thanks for the warning! I was braced, and still suffered a heart murmur! That’s one scary hat.
Did you offer a high bid? :)

Ha! Fringe. Too funny.

Thanks, too, for the pre-well wishes. Now I have to sit and worry that the hat makes to my house unscathed, right?

And thanks, @Rumad! Don’t know how I missed y’all’s posts earlier.

I will look to see about a link but someone just moved on a super clean wide ribbon borso that was a size 7 1/2 for peanuts....think the price was around $100.00 plus shipping, clean hat no issues. Got to think it was someone here,.,.it did not last long on eBay at all...
