Excellent fit. Your sleeve length is where I like mine even on non riding jackets. What is the weight of the HH; is that one of Stu's manly jackets, or a more manageable 3.5—4 oz. weight?

I ordered it with both the black and brown collars. First 3 pics are with the brown collar and 4th pic is with black collar.

He actually asked me after I ordered and paid for both collars which color I wanted. So to head off any mistakes at the pass I sent him and email every couples of weeks asking a random question and when he replied I would respond with thanks and I’m looking forward to my J23 with... then list all the options I chose.
That was smart!

Awesome jacket! Perfect fit!
When did you place your order and how long did it take to arrive?
Wear it in good health!

Amazing jacket and fit! Stuart is an "acquired taste," but he does put out a quality product. I ordered a ANJ-4 from LW about 20 years ago, and it was awesome, but far heavier than originals that I had handled. It just would never break in so it went down the road. I just recall a phone conversation where he referred to all other makers as "S@&T!" That sort of settled my opinion henceforth! Still, to each their own! Enjoy that beast in good health!

I know what you mean, it is a turn off when someone has no respect for their competitors. Stuart definitely believes his product is superior to the competition and having owed many jackets, I agree with him. I remember sending him a pic of me in a Schott MC jacket to try to pin down sleeve length, his comment was "it doesn't look that bad", which I suppose is as positive a comment as you will get from him.
As for breakin, I'm working from home for the next couple of weeks so I've been wearing it all day. It has also been raining in SD every day so I've been wearing it in the rain too as Stuart said that that would help the breakin process.

He must have mellowed with age, didn't hear him say anything like that in all of my conversations. :)

Absolutely perfect Kris! Fits you very well and you really seem to be enjoying it there.

Use that time of working from home to keep breaking it in. I think you were wise to specify a different liner than the quilted, especially in the state/warmth you live in. I would still have mine if I had done that.

Jacket looks perfect. Great fit. When you say add black collar are you referring to the snap on mouton? It looks brown in the photos (which is better imho). Stu f’d up the collar on my j-23. Somehow it was my fault. Somewhat soured my opinion of his wares but as your jacket and many others have shown, when he gets its right, he definitely gets it right. Congrats!

Sad to hear Stu messed up your collar--sucks.
