Thanks @seres and @Tom71 and everyone else who congratulated me on both my new Rigger jacket and my 30 years as a captain. It’s been quite a “ride” as they say (no pun intended!). I was 23 years old when I first took a job as a ferryboat captain, thinking I’d be doing that for a year or 2 and then moving on to some other boat job. Well 30 years later I’m still at it: older, wiser (?) but definitely wearing a cooler jacket (went from the company-issue Wearguard windbreaker to a Lost Worlds Rigger!).
Hope everyone can enjoy the highs (and lows) of a fulfilling job the way I have been lucky enough to.

Man! That's the way to do it. Congrats! 30 years is an amazing achievement.

Simmons Bilt Nebraska in Black Goat on a Thursday morning coastal ride , north again. Within the COVID-19 limits.
Cool start today , but to be 27C by mid afternoon.
Indian Ocean backdrop , perhaps out of sight 15 fully laden oil tankers hove to and anchored.
The main WA refinery is perhaps 120 K's south of this photo spot.
Full oil tankers all over the world apparently. Perth fuel price down to 87c/ litre. Lowest for way over 10 years.
BECAUSE you can't drive anywhere of distance AND all the working from home scenario.
Phone camera shot of course , apologies for the quality , but you get the idea.

Aero seal jerky HH A-2, this leather offering from Aero is every bit as nice as their Vincenza seal that I’ve handled IMO and without the extra £. It ages beautifully showing a lighter brown undercoat, it should be more popular.

I also agree. I used to have an Aero Aeromarine in black jerky HH and to be honest with you the jerky HH feels much more substantial (not as "flimsy" as the Vicenza), very soft in touch, not as supple as Vicenza and mid-weight (lighter than CXFQHH).

One more co-sign to that.

My Aero A-2 in seal jerky HH was the easiest to wear of all the leather jackets I've had. The hide was incredibly soft and light, yet substantial and, aged beautifully. Definitely an underrated hide, the jerky.
