Non-Mainstream Perfumes!

Ok, I don't wear Eau de toilettes, since nearly two years. But now, I thought about, what perfume I would buy, if I would start with Eau de toilette, again.
And it didn't took long, until it came to my mind:

The red Azzaro "Pour Homme Elixir" (if it's still in production?).

I remember very well, that I liked this heavy and special Lavender-Cherry/Cassis-Tonka-smell. And it was definitely NOT mainstream!

I remember, that it started with a very heavy smoked cherry, but head-notes are not that important for me, to think about, in general. And head-note are gone in five to fiveteen minutes.

But the heart-note was awesome to me! Such a refreshing "Cassic-lavender"!!

And with the drydown, the vanillish tonkabean and the styrax/benzoin came up, more and more and you can smell the DNA of the classic Azzaro PH.

But this unusal fragrance is definitely not mainstream and maybe, I will buy it again.

I made a list of a few from sellers on etsy that I am looking at buying. I am interested in them based upon the subject matter - they are all sea/oceanic inspired which is my main type of scent.

One is called "Ironborn", based on the Game of Thrones seafarers.

“You may dress an ironman in silks and velvets, teach him to read and write and give him books, instruct him in chivalry and courtesy and the mysteries of the Faith, but when you look into his eyes, the sea will still be there, cold and grey and cruel.”

Cold seaspray, laden with salt.

Ship’s timbers of oak and teak; raw cedar and black cinnamon.

Ambergris, sensual vetiver, and northern moss.

Bamboo, tangerine and evergreen woods.

Coffee bean, neroli, juniper and dark clove.

Iron spears, marine air, and fiery dragon’s blood.

Deep purple cassia, sandalwood, spearmint and cold stone.

The scent is turbulent, darkly spiced, dangerous and chilled and deeply strange.

Another is "Stormwatch".

FRAGRANCE: STORM WATCH -A cleansing ocean air before the storm.
Notes:
Top – oceanic, ozone
Middle – crisp, watery
Bottom – salt

Then there is "Plagued Cruise Liner", which really seemed interesting with its unusual mix of some florals with the more masculine scents.

The scent of a newly-haunted cruise ship sailing through the end of a storm: heavy waves lapping against the hull, sea spray splashing through shattered glass portholes, lingering fragrances drifting through almost empty halls, and the aroma of freshly spilled champagne just now drying onto plush carpets, mixing with a purple-red spatter. Tobacco, tuberose, ocean, lavender, and clove.

Finally, a serendipitous blend - The Tower (major arcana Tarot card that seems to be associated with the spiritual work I do - breaking down towers):

Change, Upheaval, Cataclysm.
"A crumbling tower at the edge of a torrential sea being pummeled relentlessly by a thunderstorm."

Notes: Ozone, Salty Ocean Waves, Rain, Muddy Dirt, Sandalwood, Cedarwood
