I think Mich was being sarcastic. No wait, Ironic. Either way... Hold up, you telling us millions of women and one dude on a vintage fashion forum wearing leggings are wrong?

I was about to expound the virtues of classic, straight fit, high rise jeans, but I just got told what's what by @navetsea and now I am off to procure leggings at the nearest shop.

I like that. Puts me in mind of a lot of rockabilly / 50s Ricky jackets I've seen.

On to happier subjects, Iron Heart just released a new Type-3, one whole oz heavier than the last one.

Another heavy type III jacket? That's really thinknig out of the box eh? (Irony). Well, if it's what their market wants....

The proportions on this one look much more correct thanquite a few recent IH models I've seen.

I want to like Iron Heart more than I can, but I just don’t see the value compared to, say Brave Star. I get that the finishing won’t be on the same level, but it’s denim at the end of the day, not leather. A cleaner interior is not going to matter to me much.

Still, I would never knock someone from buying it because they do seem to make quality stuff (viewed strictly through photos and reputation), and I wouldn’t mind seeing them tackle jog denim for those of us yearning for the freedom from uncomfortable cotton.

Post pics please.

They're not on my want list either, but equally hearingo ther folks' experiences is interesting.

Stretch denim does not appeal to me. I tried some black Levi’s with a small percentage of woven spandex and the feeling was not good. Clinging to legs, shapeless and very feminine feeling. I won’t ever buy another pair and sent those straight to the donation bin.

I used to find it very useful back in my drainpipe days to have abit of stretch (anyone who went through an eighties heavy metal phase before stretch denim was popular can tell you why...) That said, now I like a nice wide leg, I can't really imagine any need for stretch in that cut.

Does anyone have any clues on this jacket ? Very unusual (I think ?) , certainly the only one I have ever seen.
Vintage for sure ( again I think ?) , made in Tunisia , that I have seen before. It is in very good order indeed.
What would be the model/type or whatever. The chest pocket looks like a jeans rear pocket.
XL so it's loose on me , gets worn in the high summer when a leather jacket is just too hot on the Harley

Not really unusual, you can find a lot of these on eBay. Made in Tunisia would make it early to mid 2K's. Defintiely not vintage, that's for sure. There are a lot of these different models floating around they'd do each year, some for a specific market, that might seem like something previously unseen. Looks nice in any case.

Thanks Monitor mate , that clears things up a bit. I bought it used from a Thrift shop ( Salvation Army I think !)

Perhaps it is just unusual in Australia. I have other Denim jackets , some Canadian some USA some South America.

The sleeves don't fasten up tight enough for the bike , but I have never got around to adding two new press studs.

I may get around to it this Aussie "winter" ready for next summer's "too hot" days

Sure thing, @Downunder G Man. :) It's difficult to find anything truly note (or rather price) worthy with Levi's as they've done millions of everything but all their stuff has always been okay and often great so you've no worries there. Not even the big E is much of an indicator since they've reviewed it at some point too. Those jackets sitting at eBay for $9000 have been there since forever.

Turkey made stuff has always been nice. Belgium as well. Some of my favorite. That's outside the USA and Canada. I have just one Levi's trucker made in Canada and love it.
