Konsul Antilop in hellbraun (could well be made by Rockel)

Haven't posted all my German hats (there are a few stowaways here and there), but it's a good time to close German week. Let's do it with a two hat day.

I have two Panamas stuck in Ecuador, but am probably cancelling the order - I understand the delays, but the customer service has been appalling. So my summer hat collection won't be expanding for a while. All of which means the repeats will be coming thick and fast from me in summer. Already my second time to post this Bailey paper hat.

Tough morning run. My body and mind was protesting the entire run. It brings to mind the much quoted story: I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. Muhammad Ali. Cooled down and was channeling Champion by wearing a Champ.

Yesterday's physical and mental refreshing walk found me wearing a Gannon (granite beaver felt with charcoal trimming).

Grocery mission and grilling lunch had me sport'n a vintage Stetson Playboy.

This morning's soirée I wore a Royal Stetson in "perfect" early summer colors. Soon I will switch to light hued hats.

Who is that man behind the mask? I do feel ill at ease behind my sunglasses, bedecked in a fedora and mask going out in public. For me it conjurs up notions of a costumed Shadow. "As you sow evil, so shall you reap evil! Crime does not pay... The Shadow knows!"
