Yes I usually do leave them open. These in particular will never be closed. I’d have to do/undo them every time I put it on or took it off. The sleeves are quite trim and just like the CR I had from this era the cuff opening is very small. I prefer the standard cuff TBH.
I'm also in favour of leaving button cuffs open - I think that they've only ever been buttoned about ten times on my Highwayman in the decade I've owned it. The same is true on the goat 50s HB and the Maxwell (usually- for some reason I occasionally button the cuffs on longer jackets, but only in torrential rain would I button the cuffs on shorter ones). As I don't consider leather jackets to be 'smart' wear, I don't think they look quite right (and are less comfortable) with cuffs done up. Weirdly, 'strap' cuffs (August-type cuffs) I'd always fasten. There is, I suppose, no logic to it...
If these were snap button cuffs I might be more likely to close them but truthfully the wrist circumference at the base of the cuff is the tightest point, so fastening the cuff doesn’t do anything, aside from changing the look. But yeah all the button cuffs I’ve had were only buttoned once, when it shipped from Aero, and then undone and never again by me.
