Another warm day in Texas huh? Do you know, as a boy, growing up in the UK, places like Texas was the Shangri-La, that's the fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton, of must see before I die, bucket list desires. Tell you what Bill, no disparagement intended, but after sixteen hours, hanging around Dallas Airport, for an internal flight to Nashville,that illusion was shattered forever. Nonetheless, I'm loving the hat & shirt and although I didn't say say in a previous post, Art's work on your Optimo/Colonial, really was superb.

A vented montecristi for today. It started out as a Montecristi Custom Hat Works that needed a bit of restoration. I sent it to The Northwest Hat Co and Mike did his magic. I think it goes well with this shirt.

What a great compliment, but I won't tell her, she might start charging me.
We are enjoying a heat wave, but like every positive there's always a negative. I've been on the midge flies' menu whilst watering the flower borders. My missus puts a dab of ammonia on each bite, it works well, but does it stink, or what?
Out in the MG today, I saw one or two other old classics whilst out and about.
