New Langlitz custom "Mike" - jacket

Long story short, I visited Langlitz in Portland in March and ended up ordering made to measure heavily customized jacket based on old racing jacket they had on display at their workshop. The original had name "Mike" on the chest, so I call mine the Mike Jacket. I finally received the jacket yesterday as it got delayed due to the virus situation in the US.

This is pretty much identical replica of the original one, except few of details:

- I wanted main zip to be Crown zip (pro tip: you can get a crown from Langlitz if you ask and are ready to pay for it!)
- goatskin instead of cowhide
- no padding inside shoulder and elbow batches
- no "Mike" text on the chest.
- pinstripes on the back (I'm pretty sure the original didn't have pinstripes, but I could be mistaken!)
- two inside chest pockets

I think it turned out pretty good. What you guys think?

More going on than I thought would work, but I was dead wrong. Looks awesome, both the jacket and the fit. Like I've said before, you and Red Devil for coolest, outside the box jacket collections.

It’s amazing! I’m perplexed cause I honestly never like any jackets with any of those styling details (padded shoulders, elbows, racing strips etc) and there they are, all of them. And somehow I think the jacket is A TOTAL BOSS!

Even at my age, I’ll wear just about anything i think is cool. Rarely do i see a jacket so cool that makes me wish i was 30 years younger.
This one, @Jejupe, makes me wanna buy a big bad bike and ride.

Stunning and brilliant! I love this jacket. It's fun, it's serious and it's a statement. Can be as much of a fashion piece as a riding gear and I mean that in the best way possible. That sturdy Langlitz construction also adds a lot to it. This jacket slays!

Yes it is. Even stitching is same natural tan colour. At quick look this jacket is identical to the original except for the lack of ”MIKE” on the chest!

I wouldn’t have been able and daring enough to order this jacket without the inspiration from ”the OG Mike”. I would’ve thought that all these details in red and black with contrast stitching would’ve made a real frankenjacket. However, for some reason it just works for me, and judging by feedback it works for others as well!

I think the beauty of getting older is being able to wear what ever you please! I think this style would look great also on older gent!

Saw that jacket on IG. I wondered who it was for. Fit is really great! I think that is the way to go to get a great fit from langlitz. Did you try on some stock jackets and say add here shorten here?

they even posted recently they have a bunch of stock sizes for sale at discount but they wont measure or sell online gotta go in. Total bummer there.

Cool jacket and perfect fit. Wise move to keep the padding out of the quilted areas. This jacket reminds me of vintage Bates CR’s. Nice!
