OHHH, which model? THe 70s were the true Golden Age for hifi, and Marantz stereo receivers from that peiord are the best. If 2270s were as common over here as they are still in the US, I'd snap one up. Marantz still make great (and reasonably priced - for audiophile hifi anyhow), but they've never quite fully recaptured the aesthetic of that 70-79 period, just the tail end of MCM.

Worth doing. It'll sound pretty much better than anything you could spend the same money on today, and in twenty years time, if looked after, it's still be worth at least what it is now.
I had a Marantz CD player, the 63SE, for twenty years. It stopped working eventually, the laser and lens will only last for so long. It sounded better than what I have now, which cost twice as much.

Got a chuckle over this post Edward. We’ve had this same conversation before in another thread. I think, but deserves a replay. lol
The Marantz is an 1120. Nobody i hung with listened to am/fm just vinyl. Added a 105b tuner about 10 yrs ago. Then a 4270(beast), etc. The 1170 is sentimental fav and has outlasted everything i have ever owned...except the jacket.
Be well. Bowen

Very nice. I think I will inquire about a trucker in goat, either in goatskin suede if they have it, or simply the rough side out.

Should I contact Shawn via the website or is there a better way?

I started the contact via email with shawn.fivestarleather@gmail.com and later via Facebook Messanger https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008053320810
And as a tip: if in doubt, explain once more and make sure that your wishes have been understood and registered. Then everything works very well.
My favorite leather so far: The 1.2 mm thick, semi veg tanned goat leather in dark seal brown. You can also get leather samples by paying the shipping costs. I wanted to do that too;)

Usually my jacket photos are always in a sunny period , which is 'the norm" here.

It is NOT always sunny in southern California ( or in this case Perth WA !)

Some well wintry squalls indeed and max 16C, (noticeably less during the squalls !)

My swimming pool is full and overflowing ( first world problem I know !)

Eastman Luftwaffe taking the strain today. Still 61 years of age haha...

Ha, I think you're right... Lovely stuff, the Marantz. Never tried one of the quad models...
