Every summer and christmas they have significant sales, if you find a G-0 at a reduced price then go for it. Lucchese Classic Western boots in US Alligator today. Actually quite a soft hand on these , very comfortable.
Perhaps my "fanciest" boots in the collection. Paired with my Simmons Bilt Nebrasaka in black goat.
Jeans are Australian made Levi 604's. Made in March 2002 and NLA

Calm before the storm for us today in Perth Western Australia. Shot taken down the beach after lunch.
Radar showing the coming southern Indian Ocean stormfront perhaps 3 hours away max'.
Jacket is my Schott 637 steerhide early 90's production. No zipper sleeves.
This has become my "go to" jacket if rain is forecast and I am in the car.
Boots are Loake desert boots , English made. Super comfortable.

Do you guys have any opinion on ankle boots? Like ankle Harness boots?

Imma tryna kick out sneakers completely out of my wardrobe. Wanna wear what I truly want to wear, sick with compromising with something that I find least offensive just so I'd look "normal" and boots are as good of a start as any. But it gets truly too hot for full on Harness boots so was thinking about these...

Just wanna hear some opinions & experience, if you got any.

I would, I like this style of chelsea boots ie. elastic band covered with leather strips. I have the same in my kadoya boots, and it is very practical

I think it is a spanish brand called Sendra. I own a pair of Sendra's, really good for their price.

Yep, Sendra. They make nice boots. Had a pair of their Engineers for years, exact same model as on the photo, but the things had iron cap which eventually chew through the leather. Won't ever get another pair of boots with an iron cap but otherwise, they were really cool, with the laces and stuff. I really felt good wearing these and I would wear them all summer. That was 10 or more years ago. Can't even remember anymore why I switched to sneakers.

Only issue I had with Sendras is that the leather they're made of is very thick and EXTREMELY stiff. Unlike anything we talk about here. These boots weren't getting any comfortable.

Ankle boots are great and I wear them a lot. These Sendra' s look nice but I'm not sure about the elastic band. I think the elastic band perfectly suits dress shoes like @Harris HTM Chelsea boots, but it looks kind of odd to me on rugged boots.

That's what I've been thinking about the elastic band, too. Harness' are awesome without it but not sure what I feel about the ankle version.

As for the Engineers', I can't go back to 'em and cut down version like that is super rare! My Vibergs aren't much taller than that, which is why I like them a lot.

I got 2 pairs of ankle harness when in college. I like them a lot. I played soccer in high school so my calf over-developed and I had trouble wearing those 8-10 inches harness with narrow shafts.

The black one is my favorite. It's a model 2746 and it's possibly the nicest Harness boot on the market. I'm sure Wesco makes a better quality boot but there's just something about how Sendra's 2746 is shaped. The details, too. It's perfect.
