I have a Himel Bros Avro in size 44. The one on Himel's site is the one he made for me in 2017. Thing is I think the biceps are a bit too wide on me and I think I'm wanting to have a tailor look at it on me and tell me what he recommends for a better fit in the arms. Who would you all go to?

Johnson Leathers in SF could handle that as well. If it were my jacket though I would certainly want to meet in person with the tailor and have them make their marks while I was wearing it. That might mean finding someone closer to home, wherever home may be.

Mark, I’d contact personally with David to ask him if he could make the sleeves of your Avro altered to meet your personal preferences, as far as I have heard David is a very responsive man. @Superfluous had great experience with alteration of his Himel jacket, you might ask him of all the details. And of course David is very talented leather craftsman. I think it’d be hard to find any equal tailor if we’re talking of Himel jacket alteration. JC and Dave Sheeley might do that work good too, possibly Dena. But I’d ask David first.

Dena is trimming the sleeves of a jacket in a significantly heavier hide than yours for me now. I believe she will be done with it today. I will post the results when I have it back. She is very, very good at her craft (even without an Instagram account;)). On top of that she is a delight to work with and keeps you very informed on her progress and her process.
She has two of my jackets now and will have two more before fall. I’m going to have her throw a nylon quilted liner in a suede trucker and my IH 21oz denim jacket.

I can also attest to Dena’s superb skills. She recently slimmed down the sleeves on my LW PJ-27 with the problem area also being the biceps. Came back looking like a whole different jacket. Master at her craft.
