AGREED! Part of the satisfaction comes from the sustainability too. This jacket easily could’ve been discarded as shot to shit but thankfully the eBay seller knew better and so did I (I think) when I threw the sole bid. Dena is incredibly meticulous. Getting a text message video of what was being done was just so cool. Good to feel like your part of the project. That’s always been what makes me happy with jackets.
Text message video of the process is just above and beyond customer service. Just icing on the cake on top of her excellent work.

More great work from Dena at Great Leather! Great doesn’t even begin to describe it tbh. I’m floored by how good she is.
My much maligned sand papered, balloon sleeved TRD came back and I think it may have found it’s place as one of my all time fav cross zips now. Dena took a whopping 3” out of the biceps. She also removed all the bits left from my FC treatment (belt and epaulettes) the jacket fits and feels soo much better now.
Before w/ massive canon sleeves:

After with 3” biceps diameter trim:

Sears Herc received a new main zip which is stitch hole PERFECT. Dena also fixed the saggy liner and preserved the tag.

Such a wonderful resource to have discovered. I have two more projects for her to get me properly ready for the fall and winter. Lining for my IH 21oz type three and suede trucker. Thank you Dena!! You rock!!!

She does indeed! Great resource and she gets jackets in from all over the world to her post office there in West Central Illinois. There are about 600 people in the town. I am very glad she is going strong and like to keep supporting local business.

She did awesome sleeve work on my LW PJ-27 as well. Stellar skills and great communication. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Good news on the positive review. I have a Freewheelers jacket waiting to be sent to her to get an inch off of the sleeves. Reading the positive outcome here is really easing my mind about it.

Dena just sent me pictures of the two-way zip she installed on my Aero Chips. She was amazing-- called me with updates and questions, sent photo updates and got the work done in record time. A pleasure to deal with too. And the work is spot-on at extremely reasonable prices. She is my new go-to for this kind of work.

She also quickly finished the two-way zip on the LW J23 and both are heading back soon. I can't seem to upload photo of the LW. I will take some photos when it arrives. Same great work though. She did say that working on the LW leather is more challenging than the norm.

Dena and her husband are great folks. He is a musician and producer. They live about 30 miles south of me in a very small town. She has worked on a pile of jackets for me a couple of years back. She gets jackets from all over the world.

I had thought about doing a visit and video interview with her, now I think I will contact her about such a project. I can publish on my youtube channel and post a link here. I believe folks would find it interesting. The pandemic will pose some issues, but we may be able to work around them.

I have several jackets that need mending, looks like a line is forming!

That sounds like a fantastic idea. You always have the coolest jackets and such good info to provide. Im sure you could find a way to sit down and chat, whether it be social distanced or just both wear masks or something.
