Arrow is the name of the dry cleaning company Schott recommends for professional cleaning services. What kind of tag does his have? And if you want more detailed answers about anything Schott related they have a forum and they are pretty responsive to most questions. And there are several users who have immense Schott knowledge who can help you out. It can be found here

And that’s all that tag is for. The traditional tag on the collar area and the one inside the coin pocket or d pocket in your case are the only tags that identify make model and year.

@RILO , @Guppy was trying to help you. For sure he confused between you & Goodkareem, but please do take his advise in good stead. Your question wasn't very clear, but now that we understand your query, I guess you can either go basis good faith(most favored way around here), or going a bit extreme, maybe agree to a fair value(Say $800 for each jacket) and go for paypal 'Goods & Services' option. Each person pays the other the same amount and ships the respective jacket once payment received. This may sound a bit much, but this is only if you really want to have some kind of guarantee involved

I wasn't offended, no worries

I think that's actually not a bad suggestion to use PayPal to bring their buyer protection into it. The transaction fee is something we often avoid here, but if you are dealing with a new forum user who hasn't established a reputation for fair dealing, it's a good solution. Good thinking.

Hey guys I’m not a Schott expert. Maybe @Guppy has some idea if the leather care tag matters at all since he bought one. But other than that I would check with Schott or Context. I don’t think there’s an issue though to be clear. They both look great and legit and if I were either of you I would personally go ahead with the trade. But if you really are that worried like I said ask the makers or post a query on the Schott forum. I know I myself and many members on here have done just that with questions.

I'd have to defer to the real Schott experts, sadly Gail passed away a few months ago, but perhaps they have someone else on staff who has taken over for her in identifying jackets, but she was far and away the expert with decades of irreplaceable knowledge.

It'd be very interesting if Schott tagged a limited run of 50 jackets differently from one to the next. I can't imagine a good reason for doing so, other than to increment a serial number and correctly indicate the size.

My jacket has the Arrow cleaner tag, on the wearer's right side, and the Schott Perfecto brand tag up by the collar. I do not find a model tag like @Goodkareem has on his jacket, but perhaps I'm just not looking in the right spot. There's only the D-pocket, cigarette pocket, and the inside pocket though, so I've run out of places to look.

I'm not an expert, but I'm confident mine is an authentic Schott x Context CX113; I do recognize Horween CXL when I see it. But I did not buy mine new, and it did not come with its original box, hanger, or hang tags.

To my knowledge Schott did do a very similar looking model, 629, in a brown leather that is NOT natural Horween CXL, but looks similar in photos. They've also done the 1928 D-pocket style in other leathers a few times over the years. It's unlikely they did so in a lining that would be confused for the lining in the Context collaboration jacket, though. I am curious about the differences in tags, but would not worry terribly much about it, although I'd love to know the answers if someone can cite an authority on the subject.

Good info. And yeah Gail really was the best. Super responsive, knew her stuff. And on the rare occasion she didn’t have it on hand, she would look it up and check the records for you. She was fantastic. I haven’t been in the forums a ton recently but they have still been answering from a few different users. Actually Jason Schott answered a few I saw. But there are a bunch of users who troll that forum that have been super helpful in the past that may know. But as Guppy says defer to the experts. I would email Schott or use the forum!

Here is the tag on mine. One fact I am aware from Gail's inputs @ schottforums is, the fifth digit from the left represents the year (plus 2010) of manufacture

So mine & @Goodkareem's looks to be made in 2015. @RILO 's looks to be made in 2013(was it even launched in 2013?)
Anyway, the date of manufacturing wouldn't bother me at all, this is heirloom stuff, a couple of years + or - wouldn't make any difference
@Guppy the tag should be in the D pocket. Surprising that it is detached, I thought only mine came detached, first time I have seen a tag which was basically never sewn into the jacket, neatly placed inside one of the pockets. Super easy to loose
