As far as hats go, we wear the Glengarry (you can see one on the table) when we're playing, and those band-logo baseball caps when we're not playing.

BTW my favourite Belching Beaver is their Mosaic Double IPA, it's amazing.

Thanks for a great look at some good times. IPA is my preferred style. Mosaics are among my favorite hops also.

Yesterday evening I was sipping a Deschutes Pinedrops. I grabbed a pic below. Perhaps like others on this thread I needed a change from the hot summer beers (sours/citrus and etc.).

Later I changed to a Double Trouble - Founders. Apologies for no pic. My wife and I shared the beer sitting on deck chairs i the shade.

This Imperial IPA is not a palate scrapper, but it is bold. A pine hop laden start, peach/carmel taste finished with a refreshing bitterness. For my taste the moderate bitterness makes the next sip exciting as it starts different. When you do not wish to sip a beer that tastes the same from sip to sip an Imperial Beer is really enjoyable. I was done after this beer. The 9.4% ABV is a lot for a long, hot big effort Friday.

The Deschutes Pinedrops sounds good. And I like the color so it's probably my kind of IPA. I set out a while back to drink all the 12%ers & higher that I could find. I've kind of lost my way in that recently; need to get back on it.

Just back from a high octane caffeine run for an iced Long Black with a double shot pulled in. Wearing a Stetson 100, El Jefe before it gets too hot.

Caffeine run sounds delicious. The espresso shots sound perfect. I do like the taste of espresso. Iced coffee has been de rigor at my house lately. I received some newly roasted single source Guatemalan coffee from Atlas Coffee this past week. I am making cold brewed coffee to be ready tomorrow.

Brunch this morning found me sipping a Surley Brewing Axeman. This is an aggressively hopped dry IPA. I paired it with angel haired pasta with a cream vodka ginger sauce with fresh tomatoes and spinach.

Lunch in a Stetson Select Panama and an Omni Peel'n. The lime and sea salt taste, finishing a bit dry (certainly due to the type of hops) are quite different. You can glimpse the beer behind (out of focus) the Tiger Lily.

I opened my last Crowler of this limited brewed beer and will need to shop another warm weather beer for the coming weeks. Tasks and chores that require some sweaty effort that can be rewarded with a beer. I currently love this vain of taste and it is truly a reward. This is not a beer that I would store in the beer fridge year around. Perfect for Minnesota summer, IMO.

Ahhh, a terrific hot and humid beverage. Not to mention I can enjoy the reward of completing tasks today - Sunday.

I like Voodoo Ranger with a charcoal grilled burger. There's something in the contrast of flavors that really works.

Coincidence perhaps, but I am sipping a Voodoo Ranger tonight while grilling a beef burger, sweet onions with blue cheese and a vegetable salad with couscous.

A "cooler" evening (74' and low humidity), ground beef (sirloin beef with 1/4 ground round mix) grilling has me salivating waiting for the outcome. In all truth the sweet onion saute has taken the most effort. My post is mid-grilling with everything else completed. I have grilled a burger for myself, wife and dog. No cheese and onions for my dog. ;) I am appreciating being home before the sun sets and taking every opportunity to enjoy that I can tonight. I am ready to pop a bunch of popcorn over the fire pit after and share a beverage with my wife later. I am looking forward to some talk time with my wife as the sun sets. What a glorious opportunity.

Helping to support a local brewer with some Three Floyds Gumballhead and Space Station Middle Finger. Gumballhead is a wheat beer, Space Station an American Pale Ale. Different part of the beer spectrum than I typically drink as I prefer the more robust flavors of stouts and porters. Keeping an open mind and changing things up. Not bad on a perfect summer night.

Michigan brewed Bells Kalamazoo Stout and Founders KBS lined up for the weekend.
