Eric... your hats remind me of that old US Army recruitment commercial. Like they are saying “We do more before 9AM then most people do all day”. you and your hats are an inspiration sir.

Thanks Joe. By 9:00am I have been going for nearly 3.5 hours! :p

Well said! I get exhausted just reading Eric’s posts. The hats and caps are always exceptional and Eric just has this aura of an old-school gentleman...back when that title had more meaning.

Thanks Brent. I admit that I am not normal. :D

Thanks guys for the compliments. I am flattered.

I finally fixed the diamond crease on my Akubra Federation IV fedoras. The shape is no longer a six-sided diamond.

Here's an interesting question: anyone wearing a fedora with a deuce-trace/ace-deuce-trace crease?

Nice job. I’ve tried the x crease on a couple different hats. But not something I keep all the time. For me it definitely works easier on softer crowns with the real estate To work with. Though I have seen some videos of “popping” it into that shape on firmer crowns. This is an attempt on my Rogers Peet

Excellent choice of lids today. Bird busting - I got a chuckle out of the phrase.

Did I read correctly that you painted the green on the underside of the brim - cool. I was not aware of this pith hat accoutrement. Green underside is original? The aluminum foil in the internal front section of the pith is for what? Does it block communication with the local birds or aliens? ;)

Inquiring mind evidently. cheers, Eric -

ANSWERED MY QUESTION BY READING PITH thread: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/giant-pith-helmet-thread-of-doom.47364/page-42#post-2700176 Green re-painted. Foil is to prevent soiling the liner from perspiration. Good to know!

The foil also helps block your US government mind control beams - or is it from your media? Usually doesn't work on us Canadians, we think we are watching a rerun of the muppet show.:p;)

Just don’t be surprised when we expand our empire to the 60th parallel north! Of course you’ll have to assimilate and learn our language. ;)
