Is Simmons Bilt still open?

You could just have used the same thread made a little while ago for this, wasn't any need for starting another one.

Anyway, I don't know. I got a reply from them but that was a couple of months ago.

That thread is gone. At least I couldn't find it using the search function.

I might try calling them at some point, but I'm not feeling very enthusiastic about this anymore.

If waiting a couple months for an answer to an email during a global pandemic is all it takes to kill your enthusiasm maybe you didn't really want it in the first place...

Rough times, I guess. But Deb was very nice and helpful when I emailed them, plus they still update their IG occasionally too so... I guess things should get back to normal.

A lot of businesses are not fully open. Some small operations have very limited staff. There aren't offices full of folks reading emails in many places, but there may well be someone on the phone, or someone checking messages. Aero are taking new orders (I think) but alterations won't be happening for at least 2 months.

You're right in that I'm not dead set on SB, as that specific jacket I am after is not unique to SB. Nevertheless, I have been exchanging emails with various companies for eight months already, if not more, in an attempt to find the right jacket, and to be fair, after that time you simply want to get it over with, for once and for all. There have been several delays from my own side and the others, so it really has become an ordeal. Sorry if I offended you somehow with the initial question.

Thanks everyone for their answer. I will try to be more patient.

I have 2 different Simmons Bilt jackets , my most recent purchases late in 2019.

Bought new "off the rack" factory spec in 44". No customisation necessary, perhaps I was "lucky".

A Nebraska and a J100 , both in black goat. Amongst my favourite jackets they are both in fit and finish.

I had lots of correspondence with Deb to me in Australia , all very efficient and pleasant.

All pre COVID-19 world interruption of course. I would recommend them for sure without hesitation.

I heard from Steve last week after a few start-and-stop communications with Deb over the course of about two months. I hope that I'm not divulging too much, but she unfortunately lost a parent a little while back and has been saddled with looking after the estate and her remaining parent. Steve took most of my order info last Tuesday, but I have yet to finalize it. I'm still waiting to hear back from him. I assume that things are a bit hectic there.

I have merged the new thread with the existing thread. A simple search for "Simmons Bilt" found the existing thread, as well as several others.

"Posting your pics" and "backdrops of the sea" ? Doesn't everyone on here post pics haha ?

The pics are always taken at motorcycle run coffee/focaccia/GUINESS stops , all of which are by the sea !

Maybe I should take more pics in a doorway in my house OR in my "designer" kitchen ( that I don't have haha...)

Each to their own and live and let live....

Post all the pics you want @Downunder G Man.. we are all sweltering in the heat of summer up north of the equator and are jealous of anyone who can wear a jacket right now.

Thanks Boyo mate.
Today was the coolest day in Perth Western Australia in over 15 years !
Cool enough at 7am morning dogwalk to see my exhaled breath , (3C !) and only 12C max at 3.30pm.PLUS rain squalls all day. Now I know it's not like a snowbelt US state or anywhere in Canada/Norway/ parts of Europe but it's "way cool" for us !

I just ordered a Varsity Raglan Sleeve jacket from SB to replace my Vanson Stadium which I loved dearly (now tow sizes too large after losing almost 20 lbs). It usually takes a day orso for Debs to reply but they definitely are back to business.

The boys are just teasing you bro. Personally, I don't post many pics on account of my general ugliness. But I like checking out everyone else's pics. And for me, part of it is checking out the background and where the members are from etc. and imagining life in that location and how cool it would be to wear a leather jacket daily because the weather calls for it. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I enjoy seeing your pics as well as Jonesy's (from FREAKIN Kauai!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:). The ocean in the background is cool. I really gotta get down to Oz someday  My buddy works for a company founded in Sydney but now headquartered in San Diego, CA and he travels to Sydney a few times a year. He RAVES about the meat pies!!!!! I have several pics of meat pies!!!!!!! :p:p:p:p

Keep postin' them pics bro!!!!!!!

He knows we are just teasing him. And its OK with me if he doesn't post a different sea each time. I just like looking at what he posts.

I figure he knows we're just joshin and I'm with you. I just wanted to let him know I dig the pics and his enthusiasm to share and to keep posting them. He looks like he's having a good time in every pic. Now I understand he's usually on a coffee or Guinness run :):):):)!!! No wonder he looks so happy!!!! I get a Coffee stop or a Guinness stop. But a Focaccia stop must be an Aussie thing!!! Sounds unique. I know what Focaccia bread is, but to hear it mentioned casually in the same breath as coffee and beer is interesting. I need to hear more about this.

Also, I'm always wondering what the air temp is in those coastal Aussie locales so I'm interested in his post this morning.

Carlos quietly demanding a different ocean in each picture is hilarious!!! :D

Seeing pics here is the extent of my travel these days!!
