It’s not like Aeros Alpaca wool but it’s somewhat substantial. I think it’s wearable in winter - mind you I’m from sunny California and my views might be biased.

Well, guys, I turned myself into early recover for compulsive behavior, I just purchased the Schott 668us currently my 35th or so leather jacket, no longing keeping track. @tz, I don't know how else to call you? Do you have any history on the 628us like what years it was produced, how many were made, if any were they made available to the US or the European market and if so the retail price? I recently discovered Schott's forum many interesting blogs, yet the main person Gail? has passed. So I thought I would start with you and here on TFL, Schott tp follow.

Hey John - information is a little hard to come by on this one. I do believe it was made for the Japanese market only, as was the burgundy schott I had on here, so generally the numbers are going to be smaller and much harder to come across with the states. It’s not exactly easy to deal with international duties, high shipping, and difficult translations you might find purchasing internationally, but for finds like this jacket, I’d say it’s worth it. You got a keeper !

What does the pocket ticket say ? Is the 5th digit a 3 ? If yes then it is indeed a 100th anniversary jacket
I ordered the same in size 40, hopefully when my diet is done it will fit

After a little research of the Schott forum, I believe it was the 75th anniversary the first 628 jackets coming out in 1928
No inside pocket ticket they were in the coin pocket on the 628s
