Did you see the interview he recently did? The one he sent out to what I guess is a client list. He is a different cat, no doubt. Wade through some of the rhetoric and there were some interesting personal takes. The window into his mind opened up a bit.

Where?

“Hurricane” (Tropical Storm ?) Isaias hit us with torrential rain and strong gusty winds. The LW Rigger was up to the task, the Horsehide repels rain almost like Gore-Tex! Lots of graining popping up and she’s breaking in nicely.

@dark wood That jacket could not fit better!
@thor Great jacket. Nothing like rain to bring out horsehide grain. Makes me wish it rained more here. Stay safe out there!

I am unfortunately probably still 2 months away from leather jacket weather at least, so it's my LVC triple pleat again. At 9oz and with the sleeves rolled, it's basically like wearing an unbuttoned shirt which makes it perfect for summer.

^ Love how that jacket fits. Very short, but I really dig that.

Thanks! I had to double check the length dimension of one of my other jackets which turned out to be 1/4" shorter than this one. After that I felt better and pulled the trigger, but yes, it is short. For this style and cut I think it works. I'm very happy with it. :)

Another Eastman Luftwaffe day over at the Indian Ocean just post cafe breakfast. This jacket is 5 years old now.
Cool Easterly from the desert and a reasonable swell. As of Sunday a week of rain from the sou' west , 25mm each day.
That was a BIG brekky , firstly my modern take on porridge for me , AND one of my daughter's waffles !
I will never fit into one of Ton's "move along" jackets if I keep that up !
And yeah yeah , SAME Ocean, I get that.Once COVID is dead and buried I may make it to Queensland and the Pacific !
