looks broken in, but perhaps still a long way before showing color variation from fading
seems like you already have the widest array of leather jacket models here all brand new, probably its time to enjoy them more and see how they grow characters :)

That's what I am doing at the moment, I change my "easy access" jackets every once in a while now. That being said if any of my other jackets had been through the same things that my Suburban has, they would look much more broken in... some might be even damaged.

And from here we go on to the other "could have been an exit jacket", and it is the the tan Buffalo from Thedi! It is not my first Thedi though, that honour goes to the grey CR covered earlier in this thread.

This jacket was a bit tight at first, then loosened up to be comfortable when I was heavier... yet still fits well considering there is a difference of 14kg during it's lifetime! I don't what sorcery it is lol

I also call it my "heatwave" jacket because I rode in it during a very hot summer for extensive periods. Being a natural tan, it got darker much quicker than in normal conditions. And unsurprisingly, with the fit being so good, it was my best motorbike jacket for a good while, not letting wind in, not bunching up or exposing my back either. It is another jacket you can use in any circumstances, although I didn't ride in torrential rain in it yet (would be interesting to see how it handles that).

Theodoros is a magician when it comes to fit, patterns, construction... actually everything when I think about it. This jacket in particular probably increased interest for Thedi Leathers by a wide margin and I believe it is due to the elegant treatment it has been through before coming into my hands. It is also a special jacket for me as I ordered while visiting the shop for the first time. The thread dedicated to one of the visits is here

Interestingly this jacket seems to work really well in movement

Embarrassing pic, but a necessary sacrifice for the advancement of science... the science of leather jackets that is! :D

- First we were looking at the leather and the style
- Then we started looking at stitching and seams
- We continued by analysing patters and range of motion
- And not it is jackets in motion?!
- Where next lol

Joke aside, it is true that this jacket is almost designed for you to move around, can't really explain it. As a member once said you could easily fence in it :)

So there you have it, two "exit" jackets, that both impressed mostly when they had aged a bit, or maybe I should say "matured" as that seems a more adequate word. Speaking of which, I have never bothered with water treatment or other things - I am too lazy fot that - I just wear my jackets.

I guess it is pretty obvious that LW and Thedi are my current favourite makers, they started from the same branch, took very different directions and have reached the peak of this hobby in their own way.

I love those LWs but look at that Thedi! The fit, the hide, the everything seems spot on perfect!

Beautiful jacket. I didn't expect it to darken that much, looks great though. This jacket (and HD's jackets) inspired me to order one.
Yours is buffalo leather right? How does it compare to horsehide? Is it heavier, does it age differently?

It darkened this much because it was pretty much a natural jacket, the green CR is also buffalo - although worn less - will not darken as much.

Seems like I need to get this this Thedi model in another hide... it is such a good one! What do you guys think, what hide and colour would you choose?
Of course it is not going to top this one, but be a nice variation.

Well maybe a dark seal or cordovan, and vegetable tanned goat would be nice.

This is my favorite Thedi leather jacket and it is impressive to see how the colour darkened. It's also my favorite one of your massive collection of beautiful jackets!! :)

Saw it in dark brown goat and it looks nice, and I can imagine it easily in cordovan as well

I love his new bruciato color horsehide, but I'm somewhat prejudiced :p View attachment 253151
Seal brown full analine horsehide would be nice as well.

I would be biased as well in your shoes, it looks fantastic :)

I’d go for the Dark Olive Deer, or maybe the new Dark Green Goatskin!

I think that you would really rock the green deerskin version of this one ;)

Here's my gray cross zip Thedi ( it is actually brownish with a gray cast to it in certain light ).

It looks much more brown in this lighting indeed, it must look even better all when you see it in the flesh!

Interestingly I get different ideas when I think of the zip version as opposed to the button version. I can visualise the zip version in blue deer with a nice grey collar.

The button one, I have seen it work in literally everything, and I don't have a specific image yet. But then again a collar would work well I think

I'm not even sure if cordovan goat is a thing:D
