What's your 'grab-and-go' jacket...?

I "grab n go" a leather jacket 99% of the time when I head out, weather permitting of course. The one way I can justify sinking so much money into this ridiculous hobby is actually getting some use out of them!

My winter grab n go are definitely my either the ELMC Windward or the ELMC J-100 depending on how cold it is outside.

Oops, posted this in the wrong thread by accident (the curse of multiple tabs open at once...). Leaving this one up as only the seocnd jacket I've worn in weeks because of the heatwave. Very fond of this one.

If you look closely, it’s from Mossimo/ Target. Got it on sale for $15 and gave it a dye job. I love all the pockets and the button-up front.

I found it in a second-hand shop in SF. The waxed cotton keeps me dry.

That's the Surtees. Tribute jacket to motorcyclist legend John Surtees. I have the same one. Seldom seen.

Yeah! Cool, congrats! Dunno if it's recent. And cool rings. I need more rings, too though I don't wear them a lot. I have a whole bunch of family gold that I was thinking of turning into a few nice rings because I sure as paint won't wear my mum's necklaces.

Thanks - yes, that was Monday afternoon. We'd long planned to do the legal bit abroad with a blessing and party back in London, then when the lockdown hit and everything else, we realised we might have to wait another two years before we could do it that way, so we decided just to go for it now and we can still do the planned blesing / reception later on without feeling like we're living 'on hold' for any longer.

Jacket is, of all things, a M&S "Linen Miracle", which translates to 55% linen / 45% polyester, of all things. I assume it's all in the mix, but compared to my pure-linen suits, it hasacrispness and a 'body' to it that they lack.

The visible rings are a silver & gold pinky the now wife vbought me for my fortieth closing in on six years ago, a gold ring with a cut garnet that my parents bought me for my 20th way back in 1994, and one of my SWS Mexican repros that I bought a couple of years ago. Per the original construction, it's silver plate over brass. I've got a few of theirs, enjoy them all. Our wedding rings for now are traditional bands in stainless steel; to be repalced when we get ot the blesing stage with somethingmuch more interesting. Emma's waiting for an operation to reset the tendons in her hand after which she'll be able to wear her 'proper' rings (the engagement ring forms the crown to the wedding ring's hands/heart - a matched Claddagh set). I have my eye on a TCB branded option. With rings I always believe if in doubt, ask what would Elvis wear...

It helps to be a man of style on such occasions - all you have to do is some closet shopping. Most of us would have to wear leather jackets, heavy denim and engineer boots to our weddings if we had to pick stuff we already have...

I very nearly wore a pair of engineer boots in the absence of my co-respondent penny loafers, but a Higher Power preferred the brogue boots (which I usually wear with a kilt).

I'll add this one, too. Whenever I'm going out to do something whatever, I realized it's this jacket I seem to grab the most if I somehow decide not to wear denim.
