Excellent pic of Bodie and the Open Road. Glad to see and read he is up and about.

This morning I skipped the usual morning dog soirée. The hot and humid weather of late has been punishing for both me and Tio (our Port.Water Dog). Having a curly coat means it needs trimming periodically. This morning I did more than trim. I nearly shaved (Oster dog trimmer #10 blade) Tio. A bath, pin brush, ears, nails were the prep for the trim on a grooming table outside. Outcome - my dog should be more heat weather comfortable and easier to clean after coming out of lake many times a day. Yesterday evening I had to bath the dog as he rolled in dead fish somewhere. Don't tell my wife that I just used soap (biodegradable) and bathed him standing in the lake. She would prefer the dog and I to be using the dog bath, grooming table, brushing while getting a blow dry.

My dog, as I type, is sitting in his chair de-stressing from the "grooming." The wool chair cover and Pendelton blanket are frequently a bit damp from him being in and out of water often each day this time of the year.

I still can’t get the DB crease just right

HJ does one of the best around, perhaps he’ll offer some insight.
Thanks for the compliment BB! Ross, I start all my Cattleman & center creases with a wooden rolling pin. My mom had two I kept, one is a smaller diameter (for pastry dough?). I also sometimes use a 2" dia dowl rod. If you don't have a rolling pin in your kitchen you can probably find one cheap at a garage sale. If you want me to go into more detail on the Dogbone let me know; I'll think it thru & type it out. I've done a few.

The Bulldogger center crease was done with the smaller dia rolling pin.

Yours were the first I remember seeing too, and I appreciate the suggestions Jack and BB! I’ll give it another go with steam this weekend, it would be nice to mix up one of my cattleman’s a touch.
First reference I ever found to the crease and the name Dogbone was from Resistol. It was an optional crease to an OR clone you could order. Unfortunately I didn't note the catalog or yr.
