I would not go as far as to say ruined, but these zips are really nice. I just put a two-way 10 YKK on “your” (Lol) J23 and I love it. Much more practical jacket for my particular needs.

That's true.
But if I still have this j23 I will also change the zipper at sleeves to smooth non scratch zipper, those zipper just too Sharp.

Tried the stripper thing in Vegas. Got to being alone with a gal in a dimly lit room. Champagne was poured. Then I was informed my card bounced and they put away the champagne and escorted me back to the lobby. And I thought she liked me...
Legend has it if you zip that jacket up and take five steps forward...you’ve lost 15lbs of water weight. Seems like a good jacket for a wrestler to drop weight in. With that heavy hide I’d use a lighter weight liner. Otherwise you’ll be swearing like mad.
Edit: sweating not swearing. But maybe both.

What's your recommendation for the liner? I am looking for something I can wear at late fall and early spring as well.
With a 6oz hide I’d go with cotton drill. Or maybe even a 12oz washed canvas for durability. That way you can layer for warmth when needed and just sport a t shirt when layers aren’t required.
