I like this design better than the double button front barnstormer, grain is amazing and the neckhole looks larger which turns out is an issue with Aero jackets for me; too high too narrow neck holes cause me neckpain wearing them.

Agreed on the grain & preference for the single front over double... but would it ever get cold enough in Redwood City to wear either?

I purchase the Shearing lined Barnstormer when I had a vacation house in Oregon The house is gone

I contacted the seller and offered the trade waiting on a reply. Seller's asking price is $100 less than I paid for the Aero Barnstormer

Hmm, what size / color is your Barnstormer? Maybe Id trade my single breasted black Vicenza Aero Blizzard 40 for it. I keep going back/forth on whether to keep or sell it.

IMO - I would not trade a good condition modern Aero for a 30's vintage coat. Not unless you just planned on looking at it vs actually wearing it hard.

You have a good point about the modern Aero probably being more wearable. The only wear my Aero barnstormer has is on a road trip to the Northern Oregon coast late fall. We got a rainstorm and I walked around in the rain wearing the Barnstormer in comfort
