44L jacket and 34" waist with a 35/36" inseam.

If you've got something that'd fit, I'd look at it.

I'm too tall for most stuff it seems.

I, too, would have very quick with the last one if the measurements had been better for me. I am very curious to see what else you have. I am very appreciative when FL members throw their items out here first.

I jumped all over this suit, and if you ever see a vintage Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. suit being offered again at such a generous price, you should too. I have another suit that came from this store and can definitely attest to the quality.

I'm still smarting about a certain sport jacket by the same label that I foolishly passed up! :eusa_doh:

Turns out that "certain sport jacket" is a true 40 L. The guy who got it told me to tell you. ;)

Yikes, a true 40L? Then it's even worse than I thought. It seems the gentleman who originally purchased these clothes from Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. was very close in size to myself. The seller referred to him as a certain Chicago "character actor". I'd still like to know who he was.

Oh yeah, and whoever that guy is who told you that, tell him I'm green with envy. :D

I have it on good (but necessarily anonymous) authority that this man, the character actor, is still alive. Let's just say that several even finer '30s suits of his were sold on eBay around six months ago. I'm not sure if more are coming, but he has (had?) a large wardrobe.

That's all I'm at liberty to divulge.
