The ink stamp is too obscured to decipher. From what I was able to find on the retailer along with style, trimmings and sweatband lot number I'm guessing this one dates to the late 1920's.

Really great pick up Garrett with interesting details. Gold size tag, fixed wind cord button, stitched rear sweat seam, combined with the 1915 medal imprint. Some elements are useful in dating a hat, others not so much. Does the lacing appear to have been added after production by a hat shop?

Interesting color, felt and finishing details on this Los Angeles sold Excellent quality - an everyday hat at an affordable price. This hat is of similar vintage to the early Open Road posted by Carouselvic.

Ghosts.
All the hats I own have imprints of the store in which they were sold and almost to a one, those stores exist today in memory only. Here is one that still lives on. I have fond memories of the stunning Christmas windows and the display of glittering branches that arched above the old wood cabinetry on the main floor. No guarantees for the future, but wonderful that it still lives today to make memories in kids a couple of generations behind me. Enjoy this old Stetson sold in Saks & Company about a century ago.
