The new leather is way thinner ( horrible smooth finish) than old competition weight leather because their machinist probably won't be able to make jacket in thicker leather. They are making all kinds of story on Instagram, such as " xx x received his new jacket today", and in fact it is the old photo he posted in here 1 years ago., etc, the company is corrupted.

Just last week I had a conversation with Constantine from Vanson. We were discussing a specific leather their x150, but it may apply to all their leathers. This is also why they have had some issues with orders recently if anyone has experienced any. In December 2019 the factory making their x150 was destroyed in a fire. They had to recreate their recipe and experiment with it. According to Constantine they came up with what they felt was a better leather than before. Finally got production up and running and the new factory went out of business due to Covid....not temporarily but sadly permanently, they could not handle the slow down. So for almost 2 years now they have been scrambling and trying to figure this out. If you notice changes in their leather over the last 2 years this could absolutely be why. I feel awful for both tanneries...both have been absolutely screwed over beyond their own fault. Also feel bad for Vanson who are trying to put out a consistent product have not been able to do so.
