Here’s a good one. It is a real mystery… as in: Scientists really can’t explain these mysterious sounds emanating from the depths of the ocean. When NOAA set up an array of listening devises throughout the Pacific Ocean, it didn’t expect to hear this.

It has been named “upsweep”. It is a seasonal noise and can best be heard in the spring and autumn. It sounds a little plaintive. It does not come from any known species of whale. The thing is LOUD. It can be heard all the way across the ocean. If it comes from a biological source, the creature would have to be very large indeed. The noise apparently comes from somewhere in the vast empty stretch of ocean to the west of Chile. Some scientist think the sound might be related to undersea volcanic activity. If that is so, why is it a seasonal repeater? Scientists truly do not know what causes it. Many can’t avoid concluding that it sounds biological. If so, the haunting call is kind of spooky.

Volcanic activity often expresses repeating cycles.
Speeded up it's kinda cofusing but at normal speed it's clearly Davy Jone's ghetto blaster, if he added more base we could probably discern what tune he's listening to. My Guess is hardcore trance.

On the night of 8–9 February 1855 and one or two later nights, after a heavy snowfall, a series of hoof-like marks appeared in the snow. These footprints, most of which measured about four inches long, three inches across, between eight and sixteen inches apart and mostly in a single file, were reported from more than thirty locations across Devon and a couple in Dorset. It was estimated that the total distance of the tracks amounted to between 40 and 100 miles. Houses, rivers, haystacks and other obstacles were travelled straight over, and footprints appeared on the tops of snow-covered roofs and high walls which lay in the footprints' path, as well as leading up to and exiting various drain pipes as small as four inches in diameter. The May 26, 1855 issue of Bell's Life in Sydney published in its Miscellaneous Extracts column a "Weekly Dispatch" dated February 18:

"It appears on Thursday night last, there was a very heavy snowfall in the neighbourhood of Exeter and the South of Devon. On the following morning the inhabitants of the above towns were surprised at discovering the footmarks of some strange and mysterious animal endowed with the power of ubiquity, as the footprints were to be seen in all kinds of unaccountable places – on the tops of houses and narrow walls, in gardens and court-yards, enclosed by high walls and pailings, as well in open fields."

"The superstitious go so far as to believe that they are the marks of Satan himself; and that great excitement has been produced among all classes may be judged from the fact that the subject has been descanted on from the pulpit."

"The impressions of the foot closely resembled that of a donkey's shoe, and measured from an inch and a half to (in some instances) two and a half inches across. Here and there it appeared as if cloven, but in the generality of the steps the shoe was continuous, and, from the snow in the centre remaining entire, merely showing the outer crest of the foot, it must have been concave.

Of course, the one problem with this story is that it is 165 years old. People were so uneducated and superstitious back then and no one had a camera with which to document the tracks. Therefore, it is probably a folk myth and never actually happened. Case closed.

"I think they've been made by a hare or a rabbit, hopping in an unusual way,” said one know-it-all pea brain. "It's also could have been made by a muntjac deer,” said another PhD candidate. “The problem with that is that the natural habitat of muntjac deer is in Asia."

There are Muntjac deer living wild in the UK.
The problem with identifying animal tracks in snow is that the edges melt & refreeze, thus distorting & altering the original paw/hoof print.
One can't tell who dunnit from the photo (though one can eliminate hare or rabbit) but animals such as deer & foxes may leave a single row of tracks when trotting.

Have you ever noticed something about these sort assumed man-made phenomenon? Unexplained footprints up the sides of the wall, over the roof and down the other side, or clever complicated crop circles and all the rest. Nobody has ever been caught in the act, or at least nobody has ever been reported as being caught in the act. You would have thought that at least one miscreant had his collar felt, but no. Maybe it was one of those, in denial, journalists.

Some residents and visitors in the small city of Taos, New Mexico, have for years been annoyed and puzzled by a mysterious and faint low-frequency hum in the desert air. But oddly, only about 2 percent of Taos residents report hearing the sound. Some believe it is caused by unusual acoustics; others suspect mass hysteria or some secret, sinister purpose. Whether described as a whir, hum, or buzz and whether psychological, natural, or supernatural no one has yet been able to locate the sound's origin. Thing is, a survey revealed that those who claim to hear the sounds actually hear many different sounds, suggesting the experiences may be subjective, not actually objective sounds (and pretty certainly not one particular sound).
Without wishing to pour scepticism on the residents of Taos, some years ago, residents of The New Forest ancient market town of Ringwood, reported hearing strange noises. The reports varied from scrapping to drilling. It's worth knowing that one of the county's busy highways runs very close to Ringwood, the subsequent traffic noise drowns out most collateral noise. But Ringwood's mystery noises continued until the press got hold of it. The headline was the giveaway: "Ringwood Smells a Rat." A new sewer pipe was being installed by tunnelling, the alternative would have meant closing or partially closing that very busy road.
Despite all the evidence there are still some who want to believe that it's not the noises coming from the construction moles, but some ancient burial ground spirits whose resting place has been disturbed. You couldn't make it up.

Why do none of these tourists know how to use the "zoom" feature on their cameras?

"Light reflecting off the crests of waves," "thermal waves", "temperature variations in the lake" . . . And let's not forget the classic, "sometimes waves are just waves. I know people get pictures of them on a calm lake and (think), ‘Oh, there’s something causing it."

I have no idea if there's an unknown creature in the lake. I at least like to keep an open mind about it. But when you come against those people whose worldview is set in stone, who wouldn't accept the existence of the creature even if it jumped up out of the water and bit them, I can only laugh at how far they will reach to invoke implausible scenarios to try to explain away what people are seeing. It's like the 'scientists' who've discovered soft tissue in dinosaur bones, like collagen, red blood cells and traces of DNA, that according to actual testable science can't last more than a few thousand years, and yet refuse to alter their treasured paradigm on world history (AKA untestable science). I was taught in school that science was about discovery. Yet if a real-life dinosaur or Ogopogo) appeared before them, they would say it simply couldn't be a dinosaur, even if it looks exactly like one, simply because they believe it couldn't be so. That's not science; that's quasi-religion.

Just an open mind, folks; people are seeing something. Light reflections, thermal waves etc just sound lame.
