This afternoon we set a record for Oct. 20th by receiving 7.5" of snow. The old record of 3.5" was smashed. I struggled on my commute back to work wearing a cap.
Home this evening doing some light snow clearing. I am saving the heavy snow removal for morning. Wearing a Borsalino this evening.

I've come to expect great hats from you, Eric, but this one is "hors catégorie" ! Amazing.Dog soiree in a 1920's St. Lawernce hat. The St. Lawrence is made by the Wolthausen hat corporation.
Our gray and partially lit sky has the under brim pic better showing the true light gray felt hue.
Here is a pic trying to showcase the brim treatment.

Thanks, Jared. Two completely different beasts but both excellent in their own way. The Churchill is quite "claylike" but has a magnificent hand to the felt. The Stetson is a mixed felt and has an almost lumpy feel to the felt, but is very light (84 grams) and a joy to wear.
The chores are done for the day here and it's cool enough I figured it was time to look into the winter lounging gear.
Seems a proper sort of smoking cap.

Dang, that MacLachlan is a monster hat It is hard for it to stand out in that collection. The Hanover Square is so nice. And then the Railbird. Hard to think of another lineup where a 50 would be my least favorite.
