Sunday afternoons on the CBC they have a program named..."This is My Music". It is hosted by a musician, (wide range of fields; classical, opera, pop etc). Yesterday was Frazey Ford (from the B Good Tanyas). She played her favourite tunes, ones that had influenced her greatly early on or sentimental faves. She told a fun anecdote about her mother who loved to sing harmony. So as a child Frazey had to learn the melody lines of a great many folk and roots tunes so her Mother could sing harmony along with Frazey. Frazey knows the words and melody to most of EmyLou Harris's catalogue.

Two episodes of Let's Pretend; the first was a trial run for one of the grandkids, who liked it so much that another show was requested.
...aaaaannd, a fine podcast called Christmas Stories, which is just that. The big draw for me is that most stories are from about a century ago, or even more. Many run about a cup of coffee in length, some two cups. A happy confluence.

The Adventures of Harry Nile. I'm a big fan. Partially because it's a locally-produced program from my region. I highly recommend it for fans of private detective stories from the 40s and 50s.
