I would like to take a moment to recognize the generally high quality of English written here on the FL by many members who are not native speakers. Look at you, correctly wielding it's & its like it's no big deal! Better grammar skills than half of the Americans I encounter.

Love those Filson bags. I have a medium Field Bag in the same color which I bought secondhand (but in near-new condition) at an estate sale. Still going strong many years later, just a small tear on back pocket. Small enough to bring what I need to work, large enough to serve as a minimalist overnight bag in a pinch.

LW. The recent rainstorms I’ve been caught riding in really softened it up. I need to put my Trojan through water boot camp. It now feels like my more recent CHP & Leathertogs. Stuart does say that water works wonders on his jackets.

The photo doesn’t do it justice. Not even close. It went crazy after rides in pouring, nearly horizontal rain. Definitely worth risking life and limb.
I’ve become accustomed to early Saturday emails from Shawn saying my jacket is done. No such luck today. The winter Halfbelt isn’t quite finished. That’ll be it for me until the Aero lands. I also don’t see myself pursuing super heavy leather ever again. These goat jackets just feel so much better to wear. A Field leathers jacket is something I’d like to pursue in the spring. Pumpkin spice 5 starcaidia for today, temps in the mid 40’s so borderline too warm for it.
@ton312 , what is the weight of this jacket?
I have been underwhelmed with 5* hides, but this red russet goat may make me cross over to the dark side...
Sadly, it was not in my sample pack. Is this a relatively new hide for Shawn?

I think it is fairly new. He’s got a couple new hides aimed at the A2 crowd and I believe this is one. This jacket weighs right just under 5lbs. Super easy to wear.Ton, what is the weight of this jacket?

I’m with you though. I vastly prefer my mid weight jackets, goat and Vicenza, in comparison to heavy cxl.

Appreciate it though I admit I take extra care with it's & its as it has been relatively recently that I've fully grasped the difference. The & a is still something I struggle with, the absence of either being most confusing. My language has nothing of a sort.
