Today I wore my Beckumer Leder Deutsche Polizei jacket.
Not what I'm wearing today, but what I wore on Monday. I had a very early appointment downtown and ended up taking an almost 4-mile walk along the lakefront after. Temps were in the 30s but I was as toasty as could be wearing a t-shirt, hoodie, and my light-weight shearling jacket from Yves Salomon Army (love this thing). I ended up sweating in it! Another reminder that layers are your friends in cold weather.

The B3 and ANJ4 are ready to go. The B3 has already been worn a few times while I’m walking the dog. 13 months after it arrived I’m still breaking in the ANJ4. Loving the collar on that jacket. Nothing gets through it.

Feels like over five pounds. Maybe six. These are very heavy duty jackets. I've never weighed it though. I do wish they had an option for a zip-in lining. I usually wear a 200g fleece jacket underneath for colder days.
I have two of these. The one in the photo is a brand new un-issued jacket that fits well, but snug like a proper fitting A-2 jacket. I have another used, but in great condition jacket that is a bit roomier.
That company produces a lot of leather garment for police, army, navy...
Dressing up for naval action we had basalt grey leather pants and jackets from them if I remember the manufacturer right.
