What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

The pandemic will not get in the way of our annual Federweisser and Zwiebelkuchen feast at Springhill Winery. We have been attending this festival for almost 20 years so, 'Rona be damned! We will be getting tipsy at home this year with curbside pick up of a bottle and a supply of onion pie and German sausages. Wearing a true German homburg in honor of the tradition. This 1959 "Lord's Hat" (a homburg without brim edge binding) originally purchased at the famous Lodenfrey men's store in Munich will make me feel more teutonic while eating German fare!

A shameless plug, sorry. I listed a brown Mallory Homburg on the classified page this morning. The leather fetish page needed a hat to tone it down. Sure wish there was a dedicated classified page for us to use. Thank you buddy. I'm reworking it, though. I'm giving it a taller open crown than before and will opt for my preferred 2 5/8 brim width. It should still look similar, (but better), to the way I had it before, except for the changes I made.

Early morning walkabout in a Cordova Cap. The sunrise was spectacular on this brisk November morning in Minnesota, USA.

Home and filling bird feeders, cleaning up detris in the yard and on the shoreline wearing a Stetson Turf Club. Staying warm with a cup of Rwanda single source coffee.

Grilling some breakfast eats while wearing a Stetson Whippet (powder blue).

Looks like good fun even if it has to under different and difficult circumstances. Just don't let anyone know that it was the Austrians that made that fine hat.

I have been wearing this old standby for the past few days. Comfortable, durable, and fits like glove. The perfect beater.

The Sovereign Quality Stetson Temple in Mink. This mink is a darker shade than the newer Royal De Luxe color.
