I ordered a type 3 in natural CXL earlier in the year, unfortunately due to the pandemic I had to cancel, but there was no issue ordering one.

Go for the Vicenza Horsehide!

I was told that as well, and was offered Vicenza as an alternative, which I don't like. I'd go with Jerky if I didn't have one already. It's a shame they shy from using CXL for their Type-3 but it's a very complex jacket to be made.
If I wanted the Type 3 in black/brown/blue, I would take Vicenza immediately. I have it with my Ridley and I think it's great. But with natural Vicenza I'm not sure if that's too yellowish for me. Of course, I have the option of waiting for new deliveries in the hope that a lighter CX will be included. Nothing is currently ordered.

Cream Vicenza? I honestly think a cream Type 3 would be badass. I would LOVE to have one in a Lee 101J style. That would be the ultimate denim style for me.

You might want to consider aero's tumbled CL horse. Not that the tumbled is lighter but it is not as stiff.

I have one that’s been on the way via eBay global shipping since 11/15, will be sure to post some pics here once it arrives.
From the pics it appears to have spent some time in the sun, it’s a golden honey color with dark brown collar.
It does look like the older pattern, the pockets don’t appear to have the visible seams continuing the V shape panel from the body.
