I've never seen a single Himel jacket sell anywhere close to what he charges retail. You literally lose a Thedi or Aero brand new as soon as he ships it out the door.

With that said, he does make some nice looking jackets, but I hate his label. It's so B level and makes the jacket seem cheap.

Not only is this jacket interesting---but the saga of its soaring price and resale is also interesting to follow.

Wonder what the story is gonna be on this one. Its re-listed at the price the Auction Winner paid for it. Maybe an unhappy buyer is hoping to snag the Auction's Runner Up bidder???????o_O

Yup on all counts. His label is cheesy as hell. His jackets are master level pieces. But, they are some of the highest retail prices. As you said you lose like an Aero or Vanson just by owning it. Comparatively terrible/awful resale value. On the other hand they are beautiful and well made and can’t imagine too many people are flipping them. They should be keepers.

Could you expand on this? Thought Himel was a beloved/not cheesy brand and the price was justified? Sorry, new the leather jackets (don't even own one yet).

If you are buying a Himel to own and wear what does resale value have to do with it. A typical Aero jacket sells for 50 to high 60% retail on the resale market. I do not notice Himel jackets on the resale market selling for less than 50% retail. If I am missing something, please enlighten me

The label is cheesy. Like his actual label inside the jacket. That’s all. Not his product. And they are great pieces. Some of the best. Just very expensive.

How the hell could I RAVE about this jacket and NOT post the link!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? I guess I was blinded by infatuation.....

Here it is---Not a great price but its a Japanese Seller so, that's sorta common. A nice Grais.....

Not difficult to spot those Japanese resellers. Take a look at their other items. If they have a bunch of items with all kinds of different background then they are not selling their own goods. Also they would seem to have a huge stock for sale.

That’s exactly word for word my experience. I checked my PayPal account and it showed the refund a few hours after my payment to him with the usual PayPal phrase that it might take a day or two to appear on my credit card blah blah. It hadn’t been credited to my card yesterday and isn’t there today but that’s quite usual with refunds so I’m not worried enough to raise a case - yet. It’s a mystery why he did this a second time after being drilled on the ‘lost’ issue after the first time?
He does have a vast list of mainly vintage Schotts and a total of over 22000 items for sale so he may just be a sloppy seller? The jacket hasn’t reappeared on sale.

Well Sunday arvo Perth western Australia time and no refund from paypal in my bank account.
It does show in my paypal Activity so I may have to keep watch for a coupla days

I wonder whether they were bidding up their own auction.
