Going to Osaka Japan next month. Where to buy leather jackets?

I was looking through some photos from this trip and figured I'd post some touristy shots. I'm bored and can't travel back to Japan this year like I planned so this will have to do.

First few minutes in Osaka. Until this time the largest city I had been to is Toronto. The look on my face says it all.

You should consider going to Tokyo next.
I also miss Japan so much. I wanna visit the new Gundam at Yokohama next year. Keeping my fingers cross.

We are planning Tokyo next then back to Kyoto since we were just there for a day trip and need to see more. I think 4 days in Tokyo and 4 in Kyoto with a day trip or two thrown in. I would go back to Osaka for a day trip as well since I really liked it there.

Hopefully next year in February 2021 we'll get to go back.

Man, the food!! Delicious! Only Natto is not really my favorite food....not sure if you tried it....smell like addled eggs ;-)

I did not try that. I was focused on ramen, soba and gyoza.
I am not really an egg fan and there is egg in everything it seems. I was constantly saying "tomago no".

I would pick early January because of the food in season and the fall sale. IMO 4 days in Kyoto may be a bit too long.
Go take a look at this shop at Kyoto if you have time.

Wife is a teacher and her break is February and I am back in university full time after a 20 year absence and I get a break then too. We are only able to go then since I take spring and summer classes now also.

Natto is fermented beans. To add a taste to the rice usually for breakfast. :)

I miss Japan as all hell. I've been there yearly, except 2020 of course. I think they will open it up as soon as they can due to Olympics. One may have to show vaccination certificate to enter. No matter, I will be there as soon as they let me.

PS - natto - you can smell it before you can see it, lol.

I did not try that although fermented things like that don't bother me. Robbie's scrambled egg reference threw me off. I also really liked fermented/pickled red mustard leaves called takana on rice. Next time I'm bringing back more than a few packs since I can't buy it where I live.

Stick a needle in my arm. I'm ready.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned I was ill before I left and am now certain it was Covid-19 that I had. Every symptom matched and I still can't smell anything really. Sense of smell is maybe half what it used to be, if that. My joints ached for months afterward too. I have never had a flu like that lasting 4 - 5 weeks. The 2nd and 3rd weeks were the shits. The first week was a build up then the last 2 weeks of fatigue and a lingering fever.

Thanks for the pics Colin G. What a magnificent place. I hope to visit Japan before I die. I would love to experience the culture. What a place.

Glad to hear you survived covid. I can't wait for this crap to be over.
