Langlitz Leather Colombia jacket SZ 46, XL

I purchased this and it unfortunately fits me too snugly for my liking so it's a catch and release.
It's marked as a size 46 and the measurements are as follows..

-Across the chest underarm to underarm, pit to pit is 25" inches
-Shoulder to Shoulder across back 20.5" inches
-Shoulder seam to bottom of arm is 25" inches
-S0houlder to bottom of belt is also 25" inches

Seems to have all original hardware as well. The sleeve lining is slightly torn at the cuff inside the sleeve. I'll get pics or that once I'm home again. I believe this is a 1960's era jacket. I'll provide more pics asap. It's quite heavy at just about 9lbs. I believe it to be cowhide. Asking $400 USD plus shipping of your choice. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Some fit pics. I'm a 48 inch chest and size 40 jeans. I just like my jackets a bit looser as a personal preference. There is a couple of small lining tears inside the collar and there is so separation inside the bottom of the left sleeve. Neither impacts the wearing of the jacket. I cant feel the inner cuff one for example but I point them out in the interest of honesty.

Bump, is this jacket cowhide or horsehide? I can't be sure. Would anyone have a similar Langlitz in a size 48? I'd be willing to trade for a similar jacket for a bigger size. Up or down on my end as far as price goes.

BUMP, would be interested in a trade for a size 48 Langlitz Columbia jacket or similar style in a Schott. Condition isn't important to me. So long as it fits right. This one simply doesn't. I don't get many jacket wearing days here in Florida. So as I said condition isn't important.

Please let me know how you make out trying to contact "Lost Ronin"? I sent him the message above expressing interest in the item he is selling in this classified ad. I received PM from Lost Ronin on 3/13 Saying.. "Hello, I work the next 4 days unfortunately. I've got a 4 on and 3 off schedule. I'll be available next on Thursday or Friday and can take a drive over and let you try it on and see if you want it".

Seeing that "Lost" lives within 20 miles from my location... I responded that would be fine (Thurs. of Fri) I explained to him I picked a spot that I felt was safe. That place is a restaurant owned by a former police officer. The local police frequent the establishment when not working.
In any personal transaction... It's always good to try to pick a location that is safe for both parties. After all I would be carrying a large amount of cash with me! And his past posts shows he likes handguns.

5 days later, Thursday morning comes, and I hear nothing from "Lost Ronin". I send him a PM that says "Ronin, Just trying to plan my next few days. I need to go to the bank and get cash. Have you decided which day (Thurs. or Fri.) we will meet and where? I plan on buying your jacket based on your measurements, as it should fit me".

Friday Morning I still don't hear a word form "Lost Ronin." I sent him a large PM explaining who owns the restaurant and it's a safe place. I question him if he is sick or something was wrong.... Still nothing.. no word from Lost Ronin to this day! The last thing I said to him was "Trust has to be earned! I'm trying to earn yours! If you would like to call me my # is 239-***-****. I hope to hear from you! Thanks, *****

So here we are.. I check daily for a response. HOWEVER, I have noticed that "Lost Ronin" checks the site everyday! This listing has had 1,143 hits since it was first posted! Do you think that this person should post that he changed his mind? Or it's no longer available? Most sellers would be delighted that someone was willing to pay full price. So the question is what's the deal with this guy? I'm at a loss to understand unless something else is going on! I can't figure this out but this is a warning..

It looks like you saved me from wasting a lot of time on this. I'm new to the site, so I really don't know if this type of thing is common. I would expect a seller who has had a post up this long with this many views would at least have the consideration to pull the ad or informing interested parties that the item is no longer available. I love collecting jackets and trust this isn't the norm. It looks like we live fairly close by to each other. Maybe we should switch to PM, get together, talk jackets and have a laugh at sour deals?
