Nice looking jacket I think. Got a counter-offer for $380 and almost pulled the trigger, but I'm not really in love with it, and it's a little more than I wanted to spend.

if that thing fits you, buy it. It's been posted here a few times as a no brainer ;) I'm thinking about having a couple ribs removed so I can squeeze into it.

Marylin Manson had a couple of ribs removed for different reasons :p

Edit : or maybe the rumors are false and he just wanted to fit some vintage leather jacket.

That's weird. Mintvintage66 is a well know legit seller of course. My best guess would be that someone simply took mintvintage's photos and created a fake Etsy listing. This fool must not know about buyers protection.
Or the winner of the original ebay auction had no use for the jacket and decided to sell it on etsy but he forgot to add a couple of zeros to his asking price.

Just an update on this: It was a scam. Oh well! The seller had his account deleted and after I opened a case on Etsy, I received a message from their "safety team" telling me the seller was no longer allowed to operate on their site. I now have to open a paypal claim. Not a big deal, but a weird experience regardless. Paypal says my payment was still unclaimed. Not really sure what that means, though.

Edit: Anddd Paypal immediately closed in my favor. Odd.

PayPal payment unclaimed - i believe it’s because he didn’t have a PayPal account or that the email registered with Etsy wasn’t linked to his PayPal account and he’d have to open an email from them and actually ‘claim’ the money by linking the email to a PayPal account.

Sometimes when something looks too good to be true, it is too good to be true :)

BTW, I would have given it a try as well. I once bought a 5k jacket for €150. The seller simply didn't know what he had in hands.

Gift yourself something nice to start off this year the right way.

Branded racer, brand new in what appears to be their 3 oz hide, all that for a hundred $.

Waiting to hear back from a seller for another measurement, but I might go for that. Looks to be in tip top shape. Strange that the size 42 fits almost like a 38 or 40. I have another Branded cafe racer, size 42, that is larger than that.

Though I'm not sure if I love the pockets. Kinda dampens the "clean" CR image, to me.

Good tactics - I visit Antique Fairs and am frequently asked if I’m looking for anything in particular. I usually say “Valuable items that you don’t know the value of!” They laugh at first and then look nervous when I buy stuff from them.

they probably measured the inside seam (instead of the outside gusset) seam for the shoulder. 17 doesn't look right.
