Does wearing it around the house counts? It’s waaaaay to cold here right now to wear it outside. But I’m wearing it every minute I’m home, spraying water on it, getting it to show more creases and grain and moulding it to me.

Don’t mind the ripped and patched jeans. I just wanted to check the fit on pants that aren’t as insanely high rise as my Wrangler jeans.

Looks at those creases! Starts to look better and better.

never washed but i hang it on jacket rack, while the patch on the back i put it in my drawer never seen sunlight, 7 years do something to denim color aparently it has turn lighter uniformly is it due to oxidation? I remember reading somewhere new old stock jeans that have been stored in rack turn lighter blue due to oxidation of the indigo color.
it was rarely worn before recently after i got the leather piping ang 2 way zip and now become my go to.

If the edges is skived then it doesnt matter how thick the panel is, they can sew the same way using the same machine they sew thinner hide. If the seams seems flat then it is skived along the edge i suppose
5* clearly skived the edges (and there's nothing wrong with that)

Greg Field recently told me that one of his former Aero colleagues proposed to skive the edges but that Ken was against it, because skiving is not period accurate. Because of that, I guess Aero has imposed limitations on themselves as to the thickness of the hides they can work with.

Yes, 5star told me it is impossible to not skive the edges because my leather is so thick, but they did not skive the leather panel.

Christmas came very early this year:p
Not one but two ELMC Californians were delivered today.

Both are second hand. The black one is unworn and the American Walnut is in gently worn condition, I would rate it 98/100.

Both are slightly heavier than the one I sold a year ago. I guess the one I sold was made from a thinner batch of hh because it was 1.8 kg. These are both approximately 2.5 kg.

The one I sold (left) was almost seal brown and featured tan contrast stitching. The new American Walnut (right) looks more like chocolate brown and features brown stitching.

Always loved that jacket, especially the collar! They both look awesome. Can't wait to see fit pics.

I think the smallest size they make is 36. I would have tried one but I've never seen a 36.

I've searched all over the internet to find this one. Took me over a year. During my search I never came across a 36.

I could have bought one new from Eastman of course but although it's a great jacket, I feel £1200 is a bit steep. Especially when you know they were selling these for £800 not too long ago.

True that. I also didn't want to pay full price for a new one just to try it. Wouldn't lose as much money second hand.
