Looks like a great place to visit Dale! Diggin' the cap. What is the brand of coat? I have one that looks a lot like it.

Thanks Bob! It's a Woolrich

Good to see you two, Cuz. A Sand Mountain treasure, right there. I know it was cold, the wind’s been brutal!

Thanks Cuz! It was cold a.f. but it was good to slide out from the city and all it's troubles for a bit.

Slice of heaven right there Dale. *Beautiful*

Thanks other cuz! I'm lucky to live so close to this kind of stuff.

Went on a drive in the country today. Stopped off at a federally maintained access to the North Fork of the White River in the Mark Twain National Forest near Dora, Missouri.

I beg to differ.

Thanks for bumping this thread, Rick. Wasn’t sure where to place these 2 but I think they fit.

From Ludington and Scottville Michigan. I’m originally from the mitten and my whole family moved to the West side of the state from Detroit a few years ago. While it’s not where I was born and raised, these spots on the west side now feel like home.
I did a solo trip cross country, 4600+ miles across 12 states (and countless snow storms) to see my Grandma on her 91 birthday. She recently got diagnosed with Leukemia and I felt compelled to take this journey. Grandma is going through chemo treatment and at her age, I’m not certain she’ll see another bday. Grateful I was able to spend her 91st with her!

People always come first, and family comes before all. I hope you get to see her on her 92nd.

As fine a Grandson as could be.
Blessings and respect and prayers you can make the trip again next year.

Hi, good job Ross, Grandma won't really care much if you hit the funeral. I took my Mom to see her cousin that lived close to Mom's childhood home, and he was very glad to see her, they called after that, but he passed pretty soon after that.

You will never regret making that trip, Ross.

Absolutely, it was beyond worth it.

What Jack said.
I have an uncle that is 96 years old. My father in-law encouraged me to go see him as much as possible. I do.

I have regrets about not going more, she’s the last grandparent I have left and my parents are getting up there too.

People always come first, and family comes before all. I hope you get to see her on her 92nd.

Thanks, Brent. She’s a tough one so I’m hopeful.

Very kind of you, Bowen. She was very appreciative of the effort.

Thank you, she’s on Facebook and shared a post that was oddly similar to this. No time like the present.

Thanks again for the well wishes all!

Hi Ross

I got that from Dad's mother. Someone asked her what hymns she wanted to "hear" at her funeral or some such question, and her answer was pretty much "Like I'll give a damn one way or the other at that point."
Grandma was fun, she was on the board of both of the town's Lutheran churches cause she made the Sacramental wine during prohibition....
